「The motel is located in a tranquil area, conveniently near the city centre. The room is clean and spacious. However, I wish the hotel manager were more welcoming and less calculative when guests ask for small extras, like 20ml of shampoo or one extra toilet roll. Additionally, the portable kitchen stove is not very effective.」

「We stayed for one night in room 129 on the first floor of the new extension at the rear of the hotel. The room was just what we wanted - modern with a large bed and a good size bathroom. We had a lovely meal in the busy restaurant. In the morning the hotel (along with the whole of Blenheim) had a power cut. This did not affect us too much as we were flying to Auckland the following day. Would definitely recommend the Chateau as it is conveniently placed and had ample parking. 」

Our host was gracious and available. We felt at home and enjoyed quiet privacy. Only regret was that we had to continue on our journey.」
