“In Huntsville area to visit with grandchildren. Booked this location for the close proximity to Huntsville, for the lake, water activities (kayaks, paddle boards) and pet friendly. Could not have asked for a better location !! The Windermere is a bit rustic, but well appointed and we loved it. Can’t wait to visit again !!! First there was no cold plunge made available to which they should have made it clear. Second, there was a electronic gaming device known as the Wii which needed two AA batteries per controller to replace. They only had AAA. “Lovely little cabin in the woods. Please be aware that the bathroom is a short walk through some woods away. The bathroom has two separate compartments and Ida has access to one and the other cabin Teremok has access to the other. The condition of the bathroom when we arrived was okay but there was odor and bugs that needed to be dealt with. Also note that there is no AC in the cabin, so during the hottest summer period, you'll at most have access to a ceiling fan that doesn't blow directly on……
