ABOUT THE SPACE Enjoy your vacation at our lakeside cottage in Sunny Point with private seasonal dock (available Memorial Day through Labor Day) and wonderful views of Lake Wallenpaupack.
THE SPACE Our cozy retreat features four private bedrooms—two on each level. With two queen beds (both equipped with brand-new mattresses in 2025) and five twin beds, everyone can rest comfortably. Each floor is also equipped with a bathroom for your convenience. We also now have Central AC so all rooms will be cool.
The spacious kitchen flows seamlessly into the dining room, offering breathtaking views of the lake. Adjacent to the dining area is a versatile side room, perfect for an extra dining space or a quiet spot to savor your morning coffee or evening cocktail.
Step outside and enjoy our fabulous outdoor spaces! A gentle slope leads down to the private dock, making trips to the lake easy and enjoyable. Off the dining room, a generous deck awaits, complete with ample seating, a BBQ grill, and a table large enough for family gatherings.
Down by the lake, you'll find a serene seating area ideal for soaking in the sunrise or unwinding while the kids splash around. There’s even a fire pit for roasting marshmallows under the starlit sky and spotting shooting stars.
Simply put, life by the lake is pure relaxation!
GUEST ACCESS Access to the property is contactless by keypad on the front door. Our Digital Welcome Guide is a complete guide to your arrival, stay and departure for your rental home. The Welcome Guide is sent when the required forms and information is received. Guests have access to the whole house. Locked closets/areas are as follows: small closets in the twin room upstairs and crawlspace/basement.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE - BOOKING REQUIREMENTS 75% of guests need to be 30 or older with an exception for children traveling with their parents. The remaining 25%, will need to be 25 and over. This home is for families and respectful guests, it is not a party property. All bookings are required to sign a short-term lease after the booking has been accepted to satisfy community requirements.
WHO WE ARE This property is managed by a local real estate agent. Property Owners rely on our team to book and manage their home for you and to make sure your rental needs are met. To make sure each property is well maintained, each reservation will require a rental agreement to be signed. The Rental Agreement is posted on this site and is available for review at check out. In addition to the Rental Agreement posted on VRBO, you will receive a Reservation Form that is required to be completed within 48 hours of receipt. Our communities are also governed by township Rental Ordinances which impose certain rules and regulations for owners.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT Our rental management includes 24-hour emergency response for any issues that arise.
Parking is available for 4 cars plus 1 boat trailer. NO OTHER SPACES ARE AVAILABLE. Day Guests are limited to 5 persons over the 10 allowed as overnight guests. (NO MORE than a total of 15 people are allowed at the house at any given time).
LAKE INFO Swimming and/or Floating is encouraged. Water is great for swimming and water levels are always high enough for a boat to be docked. Rocky Shoreline access – lake level fluctuates depending on the season. Spring – Lake levels will be high. The docks do not start getting installed until late April. We do not GUARANTEE any dock in the water before Memorial Day. Summer – High Water Mark is June 1st. Depending on the weather, the lake levels may come up higher than that making the docks hard to access as their walkways will be underwater. We do our best to make sure they are accessible, but we cannot always get to them on demand. Fall – Water levels will be lowest, and docks will start to be removed from the lake until the spring. Boats can still be docked, water levels at the end of the docks are still acceptable for boat docking. Winter – Lake usually freezes, and ice fishing is popular. Any access to the frozen lake is “at your own risk”.
HOUSE RULES No Smoking inside – smoking outside only. Must not leave any butts and ashes behind NO FIREWORKS or discharging of any firearm is not permitted. Includes BB, air, pellet, paint guns. Quiet time 11pm – 8am – this is a family-oriented neighborhood, no late-night parties allowed. Voices carry at night when it’s quiet. If you are out late at the firepit or on the deck, please keep noise to a minimum.
