Staff does not exist, everything is by phone, check in getting your key from a key box, check out letting the key on a key box. No humans around, nor reception, nothing. Rooms are very standard with two big disappointing issues: first, not elevator so stairs; second, rooms on the second floor, as the one we occupied, have an unbearable hot temperature and no air conditionning. WIthout exageration, with 20º centigrades outdoors, temperature in the room was not lower than 30º in mid June, and only a small table fan to go on. Really unacceptable. If you are thinking in going on summer, just discard the idea of staying here.

Hello Rodolfo, we deeply apologise that you were disappointed with your stay. Please note that our reception is open from 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday so we do give our guests the flexibility of checking in at reception throughout the day or self checking in. We are based in a historic Georgian building so we are limited on what we can do in regard to the stairs and it should state online that rooms are accessible by stairs only, apologies if this has not been clear.We are sorry to hear that the room was too warm, although the temperature is out of our control we have ensured that a fan is included and the window blinds were closed to not bring in heat. Nevertheless, hopefully we can improve our facilities in the future and we apologise once again for not meeting your expectations. Kind regards,

Nice place, a little noisy
The room was nice, spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. My only complaint is that my room was very noisy because it overlooked a main road in Lancaster.

Large spacious room(we had 3 single beds) with good size bathroom. Clean, tidy and neat. Just off the main road. No noise disruption. 2 things. Keys to rooms are available to all who stay there, as the key box stores keys for all the room. Room had a velux window with no blind. So room was bright quiet early.

Good stay but...
🙂Perfect location, good size room, comfy beds. 🙁 We stayed there for 3 nights and our room was not cleaned, not even once. Finally, we had to empty the bins ourselves. Definetely not value for money.

Comfortable and clean enough, but in room 6 the noise from the traffic was horrendous, no let up for the 2 nights we stayed... it has secondary double glazing due to the old sash windows, it could do with being replaced... would stay again but would ask for a room round the back. Excellent location for the train station, the pubs, restaurants and shops.

Great for couples
Didn't have breakfast. The 24 hour check in desk was a box at the back of the hotel. There was no one on site to deal with issues most of the time. The room was really nice and warm and a heated towel rail in the bathroom was great. The shower would not get hot enough for me and could not be fixed another room was offered on the last morning. Most people would find the shower usable, as I did eventually with the room being so warm.

Self check in worked well. Excellent location for station and town. Comfortable room. Steep stairs, no lift. Road quite noisy but the secondary glazing kept out most of it

I very much liked my stay but would have loved it to have included breakfast (even a continental one) for the price. Not having free parking on site was a disadvantage that could be worked round as I was travelling alone.

Great hotel room only thing that i feel was miss leading is how the hotel stated parking when they didnt have that facility it was a paid car park down the road that was a bit pricey

Quite a comfortable stay. The drawback is that it is located on a busy main road through the city. However, the double-glazing helped to remedy this.

The Hotel bookers nightmare!
Made an error with my booking and told me the room was cancelled the day before I was due to stay when I was already in Lancaster. Was left to find an alternative room with no help apart from a suggestion from staff at the crows, and the suggested hotel was also horrible and more expensive!!

Thanks for the review , Iam sorry you were not happy with the service we provided , our staff followed procedure where by when a card declines and no response is given to contact over the course the given 48hour period the room is cancelled . Did what it said on the tin and did it well.
Clean and comfortable accommodation- easy check in and was shown to the doors where the rooms are located via the rear. Double room was a good size. As was the bathroom. Would I stay again ? - see you next week 👍

Stayed 5 nights in this hotel. Close to shopping area, clean but a bit noisy. Check in and check out was easy. It’s called a hotel but and I think should be called Inn. Should stay again but not for 5 nights. It’s good for one or two nights.

New Year's Eve room in Lancaster
Large spacious room. Easy self-service check-in procedure. Room very clean. A few minor cosmetic scuffs and scratches in the room that could do with touching-up but no major issues with the room at all. Biggest drawback is lack of on site parking.
