Escape to our charming little cabin, nestled on 15 acres of rolling pastureland and Christmas tree fields in the serene foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. Built in the 1940s as a tenant farmer’s home, this hidden gem sits quietly up the hill behind our big old farmhouse, offering privacy and tranquility. Relax on the porch, watch the birds, and stargaze under clear mountain skies.
Located in Ashe County, in North Carolina’s northwest corner near the Virginia line, you’re just minutes from adventure:

-15 minutes to Grayson Highlands State Park
-20 minutes to White Top Mountain, Mount Rogers, the Appalachian Trail, and the Virginia Creeper Bike Trail
-Steps away from Helton Creek, a local favorite for fishing, just across the road
-Short drives to the New River and New River State Park

For a taste of local culture, explore nearby West Jefferson—a quaint town with boutique shops, cafes, a cheese factory, brewery, and a small museum in the historic courthouse. Awesome hideaway cabin nestled in the woods with pumpkins and cows all around. Great location for hiking in Grayson Highlands. Peaceful cabin that had it all. This is the second visit to this property. I enjoyed my stay there as much as the first time. Really like that it's a quiet peaceful place with birds, deer, rabbits and a nice view. The spring/stream running beside the house is great to listen to. The lightening bugs are also a hit with us. It's nice that the kitchen has small appliances, and also a few things in the bathroom that you may need. Plan on going back again, hope it's not 4 years before I can do it. I really like this place.

Girls Weekend for Trail Run at Grayson

Perfect location for our trail race, very comfortable cabin, beds very comfortable, had all necessary supplies and extra to make stay enjoyable. Loved seeing the deer and cows while sitting on the front porch. WiFi was great! Very happy with stay.
