It is a short walk to the train station for getting into Dublin, but also close to two small local towns that have all the amenities anyone could need. "The most beautiful surroundings and views from here and the property was well laid out, comfortable and worked really well for our group of 6. Beds were comfortable, kitchen was great and the wood burning stove was a lovely touch on chllly evenings. Communication was great and it was a great stay. I would highly recommend this place."

The Glendalough Hotel

"The hotel exceeded my expectations. I was in a good mood the whole time. You could not ask for a better location right next to the Glendalough sites, plus reasonable rates. Although my room was small, it was cozy and had everything I needed, plus a lovely view from the sizable windows even though it raced north toward the road. My only complaint about the hotel is that the front desk is not staffed 24/7 (I think it closes at 8 or 9 PM), which might create some anxiety for those returning late. I also read really bad reviews about the hotel restaurant, so I ate dinner elsewhere. However, the included breakfast was fine. I didn't see a fan or way to open the windows in the room, so I imagine it might get a little hot during warmer weather."

"I’m not an experience traveler by any means but Christopher is an outstanding host. I felt well cared for and all of my needs were met happily. The room was lovely and well kept. The breakfast was outstanding and plentiful. I can’t recommend the Tudor Lodge highly enough. When I return to Glendalough I will definitely be staying at Tudor Lodge. "
