We enjoyed our stay. The room was better than our last one we stayed in. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom cleaner. The hotel can definitely use a remodeling. My husband is 6’ 2” and the toilet s waaaay too low to the ground. I’m 5’3” and still feel it’s way tooo low.

Fabulous authentic old hotel with all the period pieces, lots of terrific furniture and books galore! The location is great and the stay was enjoyable. I look forward to staying there again. The only thing that would be warranted is - the carpet is rather worn, especially on the staircases and ***IN THE ELEVATOR***! Otherwise, the old place is charming.

A very cool place. So many antiques and books lining the hallways. The only disappointment was that the restaurant doesn’t open until eight in the morning and that was a little late for me considering I was trying to eat early and take off to do some running then come back before checkout. But as it turns out the restaurant opened about 15 minutes early, but I don’t think you can count on that. There was coffee in the lobby in the morning, which was really good. At least the room I stayed in there was no coffee making apparatus and no microwave and no refrigerator as it turns out I didn’t need those, but there are times that It would be nice to have something like that. Overall, I love the place. I thought it was super cool and the next time I’m in that area I’d like to stay there for a few days rather than just overnight.

Beautiful historic hotel, yet has some issues that need ti be addressed. First, the bed was very uncomfortable. It was so low and the mattress feels like it hasn’t been changed in years. Both my husband and I woke up with our back in pain. Next, the bathroom. For the most part, it was clean. The shower soap holder had soap residue w water left both times (we stayed two different days). Also, the toilet looks really dirty. They should look into a pumice stone to get those dark rings off! There were urine marks under the rim and splattered p inside the bowl. The sink area was decent. As beautiful as the hotel is, I don’t think we would stay there again.
