Spacious 2 bedroom SFR on large property.
Pros: This casita is spacious & has most everything needed for a comfortable stay. The property is gated so it feels very safe. It has an open floor plan, new kitchen appliances and the AC works great. The home is situated in the back section of the owner’s large yard with a beautiful pool and pickle court. It has easy access to highways and is about 30-45 minutes to downtown Las Vegas depending on time of day. Biggest plus is it comes with 2 super cute dogs including a standard Snoodle who is very friendly! Only problem is the Wi-Fi. I explained upfront that both my husband and I needed strong Wi-Fi so we could work from the property. Unfortunately, it was slow & frequently would stop all together. This meant no internet or TV.
Cons: I reserved & paid for this home for a month because I needed to be close to a parent w/dementia that had several medical appts. I told the property manager Sue that I was not sure how long I needed the home. She said it would be fine to stay longer on a week-to-week basis or leave early and she would prorate. Due to my parent’s illness being more severe than first thought, in the first 3 weeks, I was only in the home 12 nights. At 2.5 weeks, I notified both Sue and the owner that I would be out a week early. I asked if I was eligible for a refund and Sue wrote back stating that I needed to contact VRBO. I called VRBO and they said I needed to work with the PM. I again notified Sue in writing and never heard back. Very disappointing.
