61 on Cameron is located in the heart of Launceston's CBD. Offering a perfect home away from home, from all the hustle & bustle of city life below.
The apartment is comfortably spacious. With modern furnishings & appliances & plenty of room. Offering two queen beds & plenty of wardrobe space. Bedroom one is private, whilst the loft level has an ensuite for your convenience.
** Free secure parking is available off-site at another location. Approx. 1.5 blocks from the apartment.
** The two floor mattresses are actually portable fold out single beds, that can be moved anywhere in the apartment. These are more suited for children to sleep on.
Nice sized property for 4 adults to stay. Good location for the Seaport end of town.

Enjoyed our stay here.
Tourist information and post office across the road.
Post office clock chimes every half hour and can be heard all over Launceston. Mexican restaurant down stairs does a good feed.

Well located to the City Park and on edge of CBD/main shopping area. Walking distance to museum, art gallery and James Boags. Supermarkets about a 15 minute walk away. Tourism office across the road so great of you had nothing planned.
Was a bit concerned about possible noise from Mexican bar downstairs but no issues nor from the Post Office clock which has we could hear during the day but not at night.
Car park is two blocks away but we found it easy to pull, up in the 15 minute parks across the road from accom, unload and the head to the car park, park and walk back.
Basic hotel style bed linen and towels. No tissues which is the first time I have come across any accommodation without this basic.
If you have any mobility issues this place isn’t for you. There are two flights of stairs up to the apartment, then one bedroom is upstairs on a mezzanine. Unfortunately the downstairs bedroom has the shower over the bath and a step up/over the bath was too high for my partner who has a slightly dodgy knee so he has to use the shower upstairs. Also taking the rubbish out required either down the internal two flights or down the external back stairs which were pretty steep.
We didn’t cook so can’t comment on the cooking facilities. No tea pot, coffee plunger or machine. Only small number of tea bags and coffee bags - a bit old school. Very basic pantry items - many appeared leftovers from previous guests.
