The accommodation provided everything we required for our stay, though it would benefit from some additional care, maintenance, and minor repairs. While it is not the most comfortable property overall, it serves well as a practical base, particularly given its convenient location near the tram, offering easy access to the centre of Rouen.
The stairs leading down to the bedrooms are quite steep and narrow, which may pose a challenge for guests with mobility issues. There is a toilet downstairs, although there are no nearby handwashing facilities, which was somewhat inconvenient.
We had three cars and were fortunate to find free parking on the surrounding streets. The property could have been cleaner overall, and while the rooms were adequate, they would be more comfortable for single occupancy. Some beds were positioned against walls, which was less ideal for two people. Towels were in relatively short supply, and the comfort of the beds varied.
On a positive note, the Wi-Fi connection was excellent, making it ideal for remote work, and the host was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. The area felt safe and was generally quiet.
The kitchen contained a variety of crockery, though some pieces were chipped or cracked. Nonetheless, the house met our needs for a short stay. With some additional care and attention, it has the potential to be a much more comfortable and welcoming place to stay.
