120m² cottage with 600m² garden in a Provencal farmhouse in the heart of a small village in Gard which breathes calm and serenity. Come relax and enjoy a stay with family or friends by your completely private and secure 9mx4.5m swimming pool to the sound of the Cicadas. And yes the cottage has its own swimming pool and it will be just for you!
The accommodation includes 1 living / dining room directly overlooking the large shaded terrace and the swimming pool, 1 equipped kitchen (fridge, freezer, 5-burner gas stove (piano type) and large electric oven, dishwasher 12 place settings, microwave , coffee maker, toaster), 4 bedrooms sleeps 8, 2 bathrooms (1 walk-in shower, 1 bath), 2 WCs, 1 TV and DVD player, 1 washing machine, 1 garden furniture, table and 8 chairs garden, 6 sunbathings, 1 barbecue gas grill and plancha, 1 private swimming pool of 9mx4,5m.

Wifi is available indoors and outdoors.
Linen is provided free of charge (sheets, bath towels, kitchen towels, and pool towels), and beds will be made before your arrival. We offer an end-of-stay cleaning service. A security deposit is required upon arrival. It is not cashed and serves as a deposit. Its amount is 500 euros.
Many activities await you: hiking in the middle of the Garrigue, mountain biking, fishing, canoeing, swimming in the river. The famous Provencal market of UZES and its night parties will charm your days and evenings.

A few positives, a few negatives
The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The house is a stone's throw from the village square (and bar, and itinerant pizza van) and the locals made us feel welcome. The swimming pool is private and a welcome relief from the scorching weather. There are nice bushes and lawn space.
Overall the condition of the flat (there are neighbours upstairs with wooden floors) is in great need of modernisation, especially the kitchen. There was a broken drawer, no kettle, no chopping board other than the breadboard, lumps missing from the limited worktop and no storage cupboards for food. The cutlery and utensils were ok and plentiful but the one kitchen knife was bendy and blunt. Crockery was good and lots of it in the wardrobe in the lounge. Emptying the bins requires a trudge up the hill.
The lounge diner is dull with inadequate seating for more than 4 and the TV wasn't working on all channels and we got a shock off it. The table is an outdoor table with a transparent vinyl sheet laid over it.
The beds were great but bedrooms somewhat Spartan.
The building is on a steep hill and the owners don't wish visitors to park inside the gate. The overgrown bushes would rather inhibit that anyway but it does mean parking out of sight at the bottom of the hill. Not that we wanted them, but there was no sign of the listed hottub or sauna.
Overall the whole place needs a complete makeover and modernisation and for the price paid we were expecting some elements of luxury not a feeling of 'make-do'

Gîtes très agréable
Tout près d'une jolie ville UZES et beaucoup de visites à faire à moins d'une heure de trajet en voiture.
Nous avons été reçus par notre hôte Marie, très agréable. Le gîte est grand et bien aménagé. Beaucoup de vaisselle, lits faits et tout est prevu pour un bon bain dans la grande piscine. Nous avons apprécié le café du village où le patron a su en faire un lieu de rencontres pour tous. Nous recommandons

Un très agréable séjour

Agréable séjour
Nous sommes venus chez Marie à 4 adultes et nous avons été très bien reçu. L'endroit est agréable et correspond à la description. Les hôtes sont gentils et prévenants, la végétation est belle et bien entretenue, la piscine est grande et l'emplacement près d'Uzes et du pont du Gard. Bref nous sommes très satisfaits de notre séjour.

Ich liebe die Gegend, das Örtchen Le Pin und auch das Ferienhaus von Marie und Gerald. Komme immer wieder gerne her.
Diesmal hatten wir die Hälfte der Tage Regen, aber somit hab ich auch mal die Pont du Gard ohne Touristen sehen können. Für diesen Ausblick muss man allerdings auch riskieren, nass bis auf die Unterhose zu werden ;)
