Great Weekend

Sweetest cabin with gorgeous view of lake from almost every corner. We loved our stay here especially after a few days in busy Leavenworth. Stairs to loft are a tad scary if you have to get up in the middle of night but worth it for the view and morning sunrise.

Cozy little cabin to disconnect from real life

Everything was great! The check in process was a bit difficult as the keypad code wasn't included in the email, but getting a hold of someone was a piece of cake. Would stay at again.

cute cabin!

stayed here for our post-wedding nights and really enjoyed the location and cute cabin. will say that someone before us definitely enjoyed some fish as the smell was very prevalent. other than that, we loved the dock and the quiet neighborhood. thank you for accomodating us!

Second honeymoon

This could not have been a more perfect retreat for our 20th Anniversary trip. It was heavenly and the location, weather, views, were all amazing. Someday we might not be able to make it up the ladder to the loft, but this trip wasn't that time 😂 It was a beautiful time and hope to return🌹

Amazing Getaway

Spent mornings on the deck with gas powered fire pit and a cup of coffee, days exploring, and evenings back at the cabin enjoying the views and the hot tub.

Fish Lake Stay

Fish Lake

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a relaxing time at Doc Roy's Legacy. The cabin is cute and comfortable. We brought our kayak and put it right in the lake off the dock and enjoyed all the eagles, other birds and fish jumping. I do not remember reading anything about the well water so luckily we did bring our own drinking water and there is only bar soap provided for toiletries so pack accordingly :)

Instagram Friendly But Inhospitable

The toilet is more cramped than an airplane lavatory. Every wall has a sign with more rules on it. It just genuinely felt like we were viewed as intruders rather than guests. Hot tub was kind of gross. The grill barely heated and was low on propane. The view was great. The dock was solid. I probably won't stay here again. I would have preferred an outhouse to that bathroom. I think the aesthetic doesn't match the reality. Less of a cozy cabin and more like a magazine cover.

Nice for a little getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Cabin amenities state there is a grill but should mention it's a electric George Foreman. Bed is not a king. It's two twins. The middle was very uncomfortable; felt like metal between the 2 of us. Might well have been the most uncomfortable bed either. We had to replace a couple of lightbulbs. There's mention of a washer/dryer but we didn't find one. This is all small stuff. We did enjoy our stay very much,

Great Winter Weekend Getsway!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin is adorable and perfect for two. It stayed warm enough which was great since it was 30 degrees outside. We cooked a few meals there and had everything we needed appliance wise. You can’t beat the views and the stillness of the mornings. We went into Leavenworth on our way in and out which was fun! The only thing I didn’t like was that some of the windows (including where the bed is) don’t have blinds or curtins so I felt there was a lack of privacy especially at night. The window did face the lake so chances are no one can see in but I like my privacy. We made a makeshift curtain that worked. Also, as other reviews mentioned, bring your own drinking water. It was truly an amazing weekend and we will be going back! Hopefully there will be curtains AA😜

Quiet and peaceful

We had such a lovely stay at this cute little cabin. We were looking for something quiet and peaceful, and that is exactly what we got. The highlight was without a doubt lounging on the dock and watching the eagles and ospreys dive for fish. The birdwatching was excellent! The wifi was also surprisingly fast. We were able to stream movies with no issues. The only negatives ... We did have a little mouse visitor. We found some droppings and had to be extra careful with our food (i.e. not leaving anything out and routinely sweeping up crumbs) so as not to encourage it. It's a cabin in the woods ... I imagine it would be impossible to guarantee a pest-free stay. The loft bed was very comfortable to sleep in, but memory foam wrecks my back. I woke up every morning struggling to move. We were going to try the fold out on the second night, but that is where we discovered some of the mouse droppings, so we stuck with the loft. The view from the loft first thing in the morning is amazing. There were cranes that would fly in most mornings and land near the dock. Overall, a really amazing stay!

Cute cabin but....

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Things I didn't like: The water smelt terrible, I know it's well water but it was nauseating. The pillows on the couch were very well used and broken in, looked unkept. We had to wash pots to use because they were dirty. A melted spatula was left with clean utensils they made them sticky. There were anniversary cards left from prior guest on a book shelf that wasn't organized and messy. The deck was covered with pine needles. The hot tubs jets were weak. Most of the light bulbs were burn out and it was darker then we like. Im only complaining because they charge a cleaning fee. Other then that, the bed was comfy, dock was lovely, even though bird poo took up a spot to sit on the step down. Great area, great view.
