This property is a very family friendly home. The farmhouse decor was a lot of fun and it was already decorated for the holidays. The fact that it was pet friendly was a bonus! Communication with the owner was easy and timely.

Great location and farmhouse feel!

Had a great time staying here! House is beautiful, decorated like a true farm house. Great to see the farm history on the walls as well. My kids loved waking up to the cows and horses. Highlight was definitely feeding the horses treats! Great loaction if you are going bourbon tasting. Highly recommend.

Beautiful and nostalgic- like being back at grandmas

We loved our stay at this beautifully designed farmhouse. It had that timeless charm—like something out of a Norman Rockwell painting. Every detail invited connection, comfort, and slowing down together as a family. It was the perfect setting for making memories and soaking in a little slice of Americana.

Beautiful farmhouse in a beautiful setting

This house and property are a perfect place to relax and to get away for the weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed relaxing on the porch, visiting the outdoor cats, feeding the horses and just hanging out with nature. Inside the house was furnished with everything we needed, and the decor was perfect for this farmhouse. I wish I had more time here.

The home is a story all itself. The decor inside and out is impeccable! The owners are very hospitable and really know how to offer a great getaway. They offer a lot of amenities and things to do during your stay as well as offer everything one would need to enjoy those amenities and more! Summer Bourbon visit

Highly recommend for anyone looking for some peace and quiet in the country. The cows and horses make for a perfect view while drinking your morning coffee from the porch. House is exactly what you would expect from the pictures and well represented, host was great and we had everything we could possibly need.

Wonderful farm house

This was our second time staying here. It’s the perfect farmhouse getaway. Centrally located to everywhere you want to go. Lots of space and room inside. Well stocked with everything you could imagine. The kids had a blast playing in the fields and of course with the kittens. Look forward to staying here again!

The perfect place to be.

What an incredibly great place to stay. The home was immaculate, and the property is very well maintained. Therese and Terry are wonderful hosts. The home itself is an old home with all the modern amenities while keeping the old spirit. The back porch was a great place to hang out and just listen to the sounds of the farm. Loved the Farmhouse-built in 1937 and the rooms reflected that old time feel with modern amenities. The owner is a delight and explained everything you needed to know to enjoy your stay. My highlight was feeding the horses snacks. The house was extremely cleaned and the kitchen was well supplied!!

This house & the landscape was absolutely beautiful on acres of land .. the two story house is on a hill overlooking pastures with cows & 2 beautiful horses. The owner goes out of her way to provide everything you will need except food. You will absolutely love it.

Great Farmhouse Trip

This was in the top 5 VRBO experiences we have had. The farm county location was great. The house was immaculate and the decor was very nice. The location was near everything we wanted to see and explore in and around Bardstown. The back porch was a perfect place to relax and to watch the kittens play. The owner was very prompt in responding to our questions. We hated to leave. We would not hesitate in renting this house again.

The Farmhouse is Idyllic

We planned a trip to central KY with friends and had a number of great destinations to go and visit. Little did we know that our home base at The Farmhouse turned out to be one of the best destinations of them all. It was simply perfect. Beautiful, relaxing, and charming surroundings on a beautiful working farm with horses, cattle, and some of the bustle on the farm with the hard working Tatum family. Theresa and Terry were great hosts both very hospitable and friendly. The house was perfect for the 4 of us and had all the amenities that we needed. Porch and deck time reading, reflecting, and gazing over the beautiful landscape of the farm just added to our rest and relaxation. It was an excellent retreat. Much thanks to Theresa and Terry for sharing their beautiful family Farmhouse with us!

A Little Slice of Country Heaven

This is our second time staying at this property and we will never stay anywhere else. The house is clean and full of so many unique details and thoughtful touches. The owner Theresa is quick to respond and make sure you have the best stay possible. The last night we made sure we got back to the property early enough to enjoy the fire pit and play some cornhole in the garage. Please note that to enjoy the real country charm you will need to be in the country (farther away from town and there are animals there) however the peace and comfort that comes with this place is so worth any minor inconveniences you may encounter. I cannot wait to book for next year!!

Our Farmhouse stay couldn’t be any better. The communication with Therese and Terry was always immediate and any questions we had were clearly answered. The home was impeccably clean and was exactly as stated in the description. If you stay here you will have everything you need except your own wardrobe. There is shampoo, conditioner and soap in the bathrooms and staples in the refrigerator and kitchen. You can sit on the porch to enjoy the scenery and quietness of the farm or Therese’s beautiful flowers. The kittens are cute too. One of the best VRBO’s we’ve been in. We would definitely stay here again if ever in bourbon country.

Such a fun place to stay!

This was our second trip to the farmhouse and, as expected, it was once again a spectacular place to stay. There are lots of extras at this rental, such as the cozy throws in the living room, lots of spices and condiments in the pantry and fridge, a large selection of bath products, a blow dryer, an outside fire pit, cornhole boards, a grill, treats for feeding the horses, and more! The big kitchen table allowed us to work on a puzzle while watching TV. The internet is actually usable, the TV is large, and the bedrooms are amazing. Therese is a wonderful gardener, the flowers and other plantings are truly beautiful. We really enjoyed sitting on the rockers on the front porch. The view is so pretty you feel like you are in a postcard. The back porch is equally pretty, with more beautiful plantings. This time we got to have conversations with the owners. It was so interesting to hear all about the farm. They have some fun stories to share. We like this place so much we have already booked it for our Thanksgiving trip!

Guy's KY car trip

Three friends and I came down to see a Gary Allan concert at the Amp at Log Still (great venue) and stayed at the Farmhouse for a long weekend. We are from NE Indiana which has flat, straight roads so we all brought our cars so we could enjoy the twisty, hilly roads of central KY. Loved the area, we did not meet a single unfriendly person while we were there! Therese and Terry were absolutely the best! Terry's grandpa bought the farm and built the house in the 30's and now THEIR grandchildren are helping on the farm-that's 5 generations! Therese obviously is a skilled gardener! Terry would stop by every morning to tend to the cattle and horses (this is on a working farm) and it was a pleasure talking to him to learn their family history. Therese stopped by one day and she was fun to talk to as well-she saw AC/DC when they were an opening act-how cool is that?! The barn cats were even kind enough to not jump on the cars lol. The house was clean, the bedrooms huge, and there wasn't anything that we needed that wasn't there. Even if you never left the back porch you would enjoy this property.

Perfect Host & Home

Everything about this farmhouse was wonderful. The home was so clean and decorated so nicely. There were flowers on the porch and Thanksgiving decorations in the rooms. It was fun seeing the pictures which told a bit of the history of the farm. The kitchen was perfect for preparing our big Thanksgiving meal and was the best equipped kitchen we've seen in over 10 prior Vrbo stays. There was a very nice assortment of spices, and a lot of condiments and salad dressings in the fridge. We loved the huge beautiful bedrooms which had very comfortable beds and even electric blankets. Each room has its own heating/cooling unit so we could set our own specific sleeping temperature. The living room was very cozy and comfortable. It's not often that the techy people in our group are satisfied with the internet speed, but they had no complaints this trip! The bathrooms were very clean and the big shower is amazing. There were all sorts shampoos, body wash, lotions, hairspray, soap, tons of towels, and a blow driver. We enjoyed the lovely views of rolling hills, the welcome from the farm cats, and giving the horses treats. The location is great, you are just a couple miles from the city where there are cute shops and good restaurants. On top of all this, the owner was incredibly responsive to all our questions, responding almost immediately. They have really gone above and beyond to make this a great place to stay, and at a very reasonable cost! We highly recommend this farmhouse!!
