I’ll keep this review short because I don’t want to waste your time like my family had to while we dealt with this crooked company. MAIN ISSUES:
1. The property was unsafe, unclean, & not “luxury” as advertised,
2. Shatrughan Singha & his company are unprofessional & unresponsive; they just want your money & will lie to get it,
3. VRBO won't help you if you have a problem; their “guarantee” is a joke & contacting them is a waste of time.
DETAILS:
1. AWFUL HOUSE & AWFUL OWNER: My family arrived to find safety concerns (a broken back door lock & broken 2nd-story window stuck open so our small child could fall out) & lots of broken stuff (A.C., dishwasher, trampoline, & more). After several days communicating with the owner Shatrughan & his property managers about fixing the issues, we left early. And guess what? The dishwasher, trampoline, and door lock were STILL BROKEN. They did try to fix the A.C. by sending workers at 9:30PM, but it still wasn't working right.
The property was advertised as “luxury” and our family (embarrassingly) paid well over 15k to stay there for a week. We were able to speak directly to Shatrughan only once. He said he “could not anticipate” what we wanted in the house (duh, we DEFINITELY want things that aren’t broken) and promised he would fix everything “THE NEXT DAY.” There were many more problems we had to deal with: the TV only had a single Netflix app; the pool was so dirty we had to clean it; the upstairs shower (shared by 3 bedrooms) never had hot water; and the house had a leaking faucet, broken outlets, dirty sheets & unmade beds, a lukewarm hot tub we couldn't control, broken window & coffee pot.
When we asked for help, they promised to fix the issue “the next day.” Nope! Lies. Keepers Holdings has promised in writing to give us a partial refund “in one or two days.” More than three months later, this STILL hasn’t happened.
2. VRBO ABANDONED US: We called a VRBO agent who got Shatrughan to agree to refund 50% of the days left. The agent said VRBO would probably refund us 100% of the days left & discount the rest. WRONG! We've spent many hours stuck in the hellish merry-go-round of VRBO’s customer service. They ignored our emails. We never spoke to the same agent, instead they passed us around to stop our progress. We were put on hold for hours only to have our call dropped. We now know VRBO’s “Book with Confidence Guarantee" is a "Book with NOBODY Guarantee" because NOBODY will help you.
