The property was just what the listing showed. This is a beautiful home. It was very well equipped. I really enjoyed sitting on the back porch overlooking the lake in the mornings. The owners answered all of my questions via VRBO communications. One touch that I really appreciated was that I advised the owner that we would be checking in late. When we arrived there were lights on at the exterior entrance as well as within the house. The service was very "top shelf." I would recommend this property for vacation, or just a weekend getaway. Very nice home!

We had a great time at this lake house. The house itself was absolutely perfect for our stay, which included fishing for the men and lazy/relaxation for the ladies. The dock was perfect for our 24ft SeaArk (public boat ramp was about a 5-10 minute boat ride from the house) and came with built in boat bumpers. Fishing from the dock itself proved to be our 4 year-old's highlight of the trip. There were plenty of brim and blue gill. There is also a free public splashpad park about 5/10 minutes away near the local elementary school, which was a hit. The house came with everything needed to cook, but Lexington to the north was our go to for dinner. We also made a trip down to Badin and ate at Tho's Pizza and Subs. We don't recommend the pizza, but rather the low Mein, teriyaki, and pad thai. We were so impressed, we went two nights during the week. We had four adults, a toddler, and a 8 month old and found there was plenty of space. The porch was peaceful and the neighborhood was quiet. This place is a gem for those looking to just relax and access the lake. We highly recommend!

Cute little place

It was great! Pretty quiet. Right off the lake. Cozy and big enough for our 5. Had what we needed and if not, places to shop were near. Kayaks were a great plus for the kids. We caught some fish and enjoyed games in the evening. Would definitely return.

Perfect little getaway

We loved our stay in the house. Everything was very cozy. The view was beautiful and peaceful. The take traffic was pretty low so my son and I kayaked to the Hwy 8 bridge and back. The living room is set up perfectly for a game night (which we did while watching the Canes give up on life during the Eastern Conference Final). We would definitely come back!

Loved our stay!

Weekend trip

We couldn’t be more grateful and happier for the opportunity of staying at this amazing lake house. Plenty of room and right on the lake with the closeness of the Mariana. I would totally recommend this place to anyone looking for amazing getaway with the perfect sunrise and sunset view ever! And also they offer Kayaks and it was super easy with the kayak boat launch!!

Perfect Lakefront Home

Highly recommend this immaculate, well-stocked, and beautifully decorated lakefront home! It was the perfect setting for an annual gathering of six “old” girlfriends! Be sure to check out the brunch at nearby Childress Vineyards—it was delicious and so much fun!

Quick Break from Regular Life

My husband, daughters and I had a wonderful time! The cottage was cozy. Great kitchen, nice bathrooms, and plenty of space! The hosts were amazing to communicate with and we really enjoyed the boat rental! Love Love Love!

Good Food Fishing and Fun

This is a very nicely remodeled lake house. Everything you need for your stay was provided, including covered parking for your car. We ate lunch one day at Mazatlan, a Mexican restaurant 3 minutes from the house that had been recommended by the hosts and was very good. There is excellent access to NC Highway 8 which provides many eating options as well as gas stations and a grocery store. We enjoy Downtown Lexington and always visit some of our favorite shops while at the lake. Downtown also offers several places to eat, have coffee, or even pick up a sweet treat from two different local bakeries or the famous Candy Store. We fished from the dock and enjoyed morning coffee and sunsets from the rocking chairs on the back porch. Bird watching, as well as enjoying the many geese, ducks and turtles that frequent the cove was very pleasant also. We thank our hosts as we greatly appreciated the quiet evenings and relaxing days we spent here.

BEST Father’s Day Vacay!!

We had the BEST time staying here this weekend! The location couldn’t have been better, the house was SO cute & super clean — and it was fully stocked with allll that we could need & even some fun, surprise “wants” 🙂 We are already excited about our next trip to stay here. The hosts were great to work with & again, I just can’t say enough good things about the house itself. + the kayaks!! Ah, so much fun. 11/10 recommend staying here. You will absolutely not regret it.

A very good place for the whole family!

A very beautiful view of the lake, it's clean inside the house and around it. Interesting for children. We went fishing and kayaking. You can also go boating on a pontoon if you rent one. Played ball and other active games. Witnessed beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Watched birds that looked like herons. A very good vacation for the whole family!

Best house on the lake

Lake house was clean, and beautifully decorated. We had a fun relaxing time fishing from the dock and drinking coffee on the porch in the rocking chairs. Added bonus was the electronic basketball game under the carport. The home was stocked with everything you needed and more! Would definitely stay there again.

So nice!

We were attending a Blue Grass music show in Denton, NC. This home was the perfect spot for relaxing in the evening..The back porch is great! It was very clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed. If we are ever that way again, we would definitely stay here.
