Wonderful
Beautiful property! Fantastic location on river & proximity to town. The restaurant was fabulous!! I only wish that I was more informed about the hotel & its amenities upon check in. Also, it should be noted that massages, etc are booked up far in advance, so, do so upon booking. They have a medical spa that I was unaware of, and unable to use.

Ein feiner Kurzaufenthalt
Ich war nur eine Nacht, genoß aber den Wellnes Bereich. Das Schwimmbecken im Freien war sehr fein zum schwimmen. Die Lage ist sehr schön. Schade finde ich das teilweise beide den Liegen das Alter offensichtlich ist und im Aussenbereich um den Pool einiges gemacht werden sollte. Diese Vernachlässigung sollte bei dieser Preislage nicht sein. Das Frühstücksbüffet war sehr lecker und echt vielseitig. Sehr nett fand ich dass wir früher zum Frühstück durften, wir hatten uns bei der Uhrzeit vertan.

So, wie ein Hotel sein sollte… Hier stimmt wirklich alles. Vom sehr bequemen Bett mit angenehmer, sehr sauberer Bettwäsche, einer hochwertigen, klassischen Zimmerausstattung, über ein großes, überaus komfortables Badezimmer. Sehr sauber und in bestem Zustand. Das Frühstücksbuffet lässt überdies keine Wünsche offen, der freundliche Service hier vorbildlich. Alleine das Hotel ist eine Reise Wert. Hier gilt das Motto „Mehr Sein als Schein“. Besten Dank für den angenehmen Aufenthalt!

Best front desk team!!
The concierge/front desk team were fabulous. Kudos to Theresa for working with us in the WhatsApp to coordinate taxis to the hospital and Munich airport due to an unfortunate broken ankle accident prior to coming to Grandhotel Lienz. They also accomodated a room close to elevator and stool for shower. It was a beautiful hotel and dinner also was wonderful!

Dejligt hotel med høj standard. Hvis jeg skal skrive Noget negativt så er det om morgenmaden som var rimelig dyrt, her oplevede vi ikke nogen særlig service, såsom spørgsmål til om vi havde specielle ønsker (kaffe, omelet,suppe osv), det fik andre gæster. Det gik også lidt langsomt med at fylde op i morgenbuffet. I den halve time vi var der spejdede jeg efter æg og bacon, men forblev tom. Det er dog det eneste negative jeg kan sige om dette hotel, og jeg besøger det gerne igen.

Die Lage ist mega gut und man ist sofort im Zentrum. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und die Zimmer echt groß. Also wir kommen wieder.

Supremely comfortable independent hotel with professional but friendly personnel, in a beautiful river-side location. In a tradition that hangs on here, the owner was a visible and gracious presence, especially at dinner, ensuring guests are well taken care of. Extensive and well curated wine list and a fine dining room that seems well frequented by locals.

Sehr sauberes und schönes Hotel, in dem wir uns während unserem Aufenthalt sehr wohl gefühlt haben. Die Zimmer waren schön und praktisch eingerichtet und wurden täglich aufgeräumt und sauber gemacht. Der Pool- und Saunabereich war stets sauber. Das Frühstücksbuffet war nicht zu übertreffen! Wir waren sehr zufrieden und werden bei Gelegenheit bestimmt noch mal kommen. :)

This is an outstanding hotel with a beautiful lobby, spacious rooms and bathroom, and a wonderful balcony overlooking the river with comfortable chairs. Upon arrival you receive a complimentary glass of wine to enjoy on the balcony. The breakfast buffet, with it's vast selection of offerings, is wonderful, as is the service. Also, the location is perfect for an easy 5 minute walk to the center of town. I highly recommend this hotel.

Disappointment
The location of the room was on the main road although we asked specifically a room with a view They told us. This is the rate of Hotels.com pay. Moreover The coffee machine was broken and there was no hot water in the shower. Very disappointing.😡
