Disappointed

Vintage is what caught my eye about this property's listing. I was looking for a Spanish-style house to enhance my experience in Peru. However, this was not the case. It is an older home with no heating or air conditioning, and to top it off, the kitchen was outside the house. I traveled during the dry season, which was 50 degrees at night and 60 degrees during the day. It was too cold to go outside to make a cup of coffee. When asked if there was heating, I was told by the owner to either purchase some heaters or they would purchase heaters and charge me $10 a day to use them. Mind you, the listing states there is heating. In addition, there were five keys to enter different areas of the house, including the kitchen. The only thing I appreciated from the owners was that they met me at the house at 1:00 am due to my flight delay of 5 hours. If you don't mind roughing it, this place is for you. But if you want warm and cozy, it's not for you. I ended up staying at a hotel to enjoy my stay in Lima.

Vintage Lima House

Pleasant stay

Good location. A little more wear and tear than the photos show but still had character and was comfortable in spite of a strange layout with one bedroom opening onto another and one of the bathrooms not part of the main house. These are minor issues though. Other minor issues: slippery, dangerous carpet in the main bedroom, TV in strange place in dining area and hard to watch from sitting area and weak water pressure in main bathroom making showers a little slow and challenging. Also, the (very well equipped) kitchen was detached from main house took some adapting to. All that said, it was a very pleasant stay, value for money and I would thoroughly recommend it to others who like a well equipped, quiet house with character and perhaps a bit "quirky". Great WiFi with TV off. I would definitely stay again. Muchas gracias por una estadía muy buena!

Perfect Stay

We needed accomodation during the pandemic and this house was perfectly located to the Malecon and spacious for kids. We have really enjoyed our stay here.

Lovely Home in Miraflores

Thank you for a wonderful time in your beautiful home. Excellent location and quiet too. Spacious dining room was nice for our meals. Easy walking to Malecon, parque Kennedy and restaurants. We plan to return again soon. Great experience and Carlos and Patty are both a joy to work with. 🇵🇪❤️🇵🇪

True Peruvian Experience

The house is lovely, nicely decorated, clean with well organized space that is functional for guests. We didn’t feel like we were intruding in someone else’s space. Beautiful art throughout. The location was great! We walked or Ubered everywhere and saw a lot of Lima. Patty, the manager, was very nice and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would return on the way back if not for it being booked.

Lovely home

Our stay couldn’t have been more complete. Patricia welcomed us upon arrival and walked us through the house. The house is spacious and feels like home. The location is spot on! Many restaurants and not far from a circle to catch a taxi. We absolutely enjoyed our stay at this house and plan to return. My favorite thing about the house is the feeling of security and sleeping with open windows and stepping into the private courtyard for coffee in the mornings.

O imóvel (uma casa inteira) é excelente! Limpo, bem cuidado, bem localizado, com boa infraestrutura para família, grupo, casal. Carlos, o proprietário e Patty a administradora, são excelentes pessoas, muito atenciosas e solícitas. Tornaram muito boa nossa estadia. A localização é ótima. Muito perto do shopping larcormar, de restaurantes. O preço é ótimo.

Great apartment & location

My wife and I had an excellent time staying in this apartment for over a week. Very clean, large & comfortable and provided an excellent Lima experience without having to give up conveniences such as internet and close access to everything Lima has to offer, in security. Also we had easy communication with the owner Carlos and manager Patricia.

Home in Lima

This charming casita feels like home the minute you walk through the door. The colorful and tasteful décor in true Peruvian style adds to the color and vibrancy of the city. Patty's friendly and helpful welcome cements you to this place. You will greatly enjoy it. Walking distance from many of the local attractions and some of the many great restaurants found there, it is also a step away from the noise and bustle of the city.

We enjoyed the home very much. Comfortable, peaceful and close to everything. Kennedy Park, restaurants and the beach. Our host Patty is delightful and very helpful. Carlos the owner is very professional and easy to work with. We love the house very much and plan to return next year. The location is excellent and the neighborhood is the best in Miraflores. 🌞

Superior in every regard

Reasons to stay here: 1. You can actually place toilet paper in the toilet rather than in a basket. The 4-star hotel we stayed at for the two previous nights did not have this option. 2. Instant and excellent wifi. 3. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, dining room and living room and pleasant patio - accommodations even better than the pictures. Washer and dryer were quite helpful as we'd been traveling over a week. The on-site housekeeper Patricia is an angel in disguise. The art work and 15-foot high ceilings add to the atmosphere. 4. Very safe neighborhood, with excellent restaurants at a variety of price points. 5. You can take Uber, which is readily available, anywhere, at prices so low you would think it's a typo. 6. Pleasant 5-block walk to a marvelous well-used park that overlooks the ocean. Beautiful views; if you want to swim...long walk and cold water and we didn't do it (visited in January, their summer). 7. We walked to major shopping streets and craft markets (it never rains in Lima, who knew) and took Uber to Central Lima etc for other sections of the city. Staying in the Miraflores section was a providentially wise and excellent choice. 8. Stay at a hotel if you want to spend more money for fewer amenities. See reason #1 above.

Great place: Great location

We had a wonderful stay here. The house is comfortable and commodious with room after room spilling from one to another. The structure's age, and the architectural detail accompanying it were delightful. The furnishings are pleasant and the modern necessities of WiFi, phone, and TV, not to mention plumbing, were in top order. The kitchen while adequate to our needs: coffee making, simple breakfast and snack preparations might prove difficult for complex meal preparations. This home has personality and character which makes you feel like you are actually part of the Lima environment, a real limeña. Patty the caretaker is a treat--social and friendly--she is eager to assist with any needs that arise without being intrusive. We hardly saw her, but when we needed assistance or information she was available and always helpful. Lastly the location is excellent. One is within easy walking distance to Parque Kennedy and all the activity of Miraflores's heart: the restaurants, bars, ice cream shops, casinos, stores, supermarkets and clubs while being separated from the hubbub. Also accessible by foot were the parks along the coast, Larcomar, the shopping center on the cliffs, and two Metropolitano stations.

Great home to stay at in the center of Miraflores

We started a longer Peru trip in Lima. This was the first place our family of 3 stayed at. In short, it was conveniently located close to the beach, close to Kennedy Park, and close to many great restaurants at different price levels. Carlos did a great job preparing us for the trip and Patty, the housekeeper, supported us well during the stay. The house is spacious, well equipped, very quiet, and nicely decorated. We would stay there again without any doubts.

Fantastic house

We really enjoyed this place. Especially the quiet location, the hot shower, the quality of the furnishings, the washer/dryer combo, and high quality linens. We made friends with other travelers who stopped by and were impressed by this rental. I hope we will get to make another trip to Lima just so we can stay here again. We really felt like we were at "home" the entire time.

Darling house; great location

We felt like we'd found the best place in Miraflores. The house is much larger than most of the city rentals (comfortable living room and a dining room that seats 12) and has a lot of personality. It is close to everything. The caretaker, Patty, is a lovely, helpful woman.

Excellent location close to malecon, Kennedy park and restaurants.

My wife, son and I spent a month in this home and everything was fine in this spacious home. The dining room was large enough for our meals including guests plus plenty of room in the living room. Our bedroom was large, comfortable and quiet. I enjoyed the furniture and artwork in the home. The garden and patio were pleasant as well. We enjoyed our stay and plan to return in the summer. The owner Carlos is a pleasure to work with. 👍
