Traditional Irish Thatched Cottage

Set on the foothills of the magnificent Binevenagh mountain (an "area of outstanding natural beauty" and Game of Thrones filming location), this 18th century traditional Irish cottage has been sensitively restored with modern conveniences to provide a cosy and comfortable retreat from the pace of everyday life. Only 4 miles from an award winning, golden sandy beach on the Atlantic ocean. A short drive from world class golf courses, the Giant's Causeway and a short walk to Bellarena train station

Cissy's cottage is an 18th century farm cottage. It has been been restored to keep the character and original pieces can be seen throughout. With gas heating and instant hot water, you can experience peace and tranquility with all the modern conveniences.

Other things to note

Due to the nature of the cottage, the door frames are very low and caution must be taken when entering and exiting to avoid bumping your head.

Cissy's cottage is one of three converted farm buildings and shares outdoor space with The Barn.

We had a lovely stay in Cissy’s Cottage and it was as described. We appreciated the effort gone in to keeping the cottage as close to its original state but with modern conveniences. The bed was comfortable and the whole place was clean. We didn’t do much cooking in the cottage as there are so many eateries within around 10 minutes drive. We enjoyed the log burner especially and there were so many places to discover close by. We’ll have to return for some more adventures.

This cottage was amazing. Everything was perfect and was very homely and gave a real feel of how it would have been to live in a traditional thatched roofed cottage but with some 21st century comforts. Property was tastefully decorated, and lovely to see a thatch up the north coast that you can stay in. Surrounding landscape really is pretty, Binevenagh looks like a geat mountain for hikes. Bed was comfy!
