Our room was a fairly standard size, with very comforable beds, and a modern bathroom. The room lacked storage for clothes, but we were just staying 2 nights. The room had a balcony overlooking Republic Sq, and both the door to the balcony and the window were equipped with roller blind type metal shutters on the outside which provided both privacy and silence. Breakfast for 18 euos was great. The hotel is within walking distance of tourist points of interest, and a short taxi ride from the railway station.

The hotel was clean, the staff was very helpful and the breakfast was lovely and cost was reasonable. Be aware that parking is tricky! There is a private parade near the hotel that is very “tight” and you will have to haul luggage up a set of stairs from there to access the hotel.

We booked a "Superior Room, Balcony and Bath", overlooking the plaza below. The 4th floor room was good, and quiet enough for sleeping. The mattress was not as good as at other Mercure hotels we stayed at in France: it didn't have that extra soft padding layer on top that the others did. Breakfast was good. No evening restaurant though, and room service for dinner consisted of reheated jars of food, not quite what we expected. Do NOT order the room service!! Parking was under the hotel, and was easy access with lots of space and vacant slots. Parking access is via the ramp just west of the hotel buildings. From underground, hotel access involves a half-flight of stairs DOWN to the elevators, and from there a short elevator ride UP to the lobby (or beyond).

La salle de bain mériterai un petit coup de jeune. Construction des années 60/70 et cela se sent au niveau des fenêtres (insonorisation) . Super emplacement. Parking sous l’hôtel (un peu cher) Personnel très agréable et chambre très propre.
