Very fun and funky accommodations! Bed was comfy, shower was small but nice!! We were treated to a local farmers market right behind the silos in the morning, got some great cheese! It rained most of the time but we still had a blast. It’s very pretty and you can see horses and sheep nearby.

Fantastic Little River Stay

A fantastic overnight stay at this quirky luxury apartment comple in Little River. Excellent communication prior. Lots of lovely little features. Good kitchenette. Lovely balcony. Comfy bed. Everything was great!

Overall it was a very pleasant and peaceful stay in an unusual location. Great scenery and enjoyable time ,have already recommended it to people at work, would definitely go again. It was warm comfortable and cosy

It was a fantastic experience staying in the Silo and the overall stay was interesting. The Silo was clean and tidy and well presented. The creativity of the build is super and designed with maximising space! A great place to stay and highly recommend.

A unique stay

Very unique but functional accommodation. Loved the hatch opening to see the stars, and the stay was a great experience surrounded with wonderful dining options. We will definitely be back and highly recommend it to other couples.

It was an interesting accomodation 😊 Good host and the place was unique and superb. I would definitely recommend to everyone to try it to experience to stay in the country side, peace and quiet and perfect for a couple to have a great quality time.

Fantastic and Quirky

This is a wonderfully quirky and fun experience which I highly recommend. The burgers at The Little River Inn were also wonderful, as was the breakfast at the little River Cafe. We would happily have stayed longer. Love the toilet and shower, plus a comfy bed. The only issue was there was some slight difficulty in getting the TV signal, but really it was just a beautiful experience.

Stayed at this unique eco-friendly hotel made from individual silos, and it was a captivating experience. The host, Rob, was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The cleanliness and comfort were outstanding, and even the details, like the intriguing light switches, added to the charm of the place. A truly memorable stay! A great place to stay while visiting Akaroa and if making your way back to Christchurch the next day making it a quick 50min from town. Limited but great place for food. No need to look any further.

Great concept, very well built and quite creative with lots of novel ideas. Built 10yrs ago and kept really clean by the current owner. A place we will remember in a very quiet area. Located on the main road, however there were no traffic at all at night. There is no AC, we had a 30C day and the Silo was too warm upon our arrival (one of my fear). However there are fans on both floors that helped cool the place quickly. We had a great night with the patio door open. So no AC was not a worry! A must see IMO.

Close to bike trail!

Very cool place and getting in was easy. Parking was kind of a mess as it appeared there were assigned spots, but someone took my spot, so I ended up taking someone else's spot. The bed could defiantly be better, I would give that about a 5 out of 10. There were some cob webs that should have been caught, but that should be a daily thing making sure that fans are clean and no cobwebs. The TV was kind of hard to figure out. I think any time you need a manual to understand how to turn on the TV, that is a problem. I figured it out, it just took me like 15 min. But overall was a good place to stay and a cool experience.
