We love coming to stay here and have a number of times. The house has everything you need and more! The kitchen is easy to cook in, the bedrooms are comfortable. Plus the location on the lake is amazing! You have beautiful sunsets most nights. The dock gives you wonderful lake views, places you can be in the sun and shade, along with launching a boat or kayak. The hosts are wonderful and have made some great hardscaping improvements to the back yard. Definitely will come back and spend time relaxing and enjoying the lake!!

Great property that fit both families seamlessly. Great location on the lake with quick access to both sides of the bridge. The dock was nice and the kids enjoyed having a swim. The lift was a nice bonus although the 3000lb weight limit is something to plan for. There is a public ramp close by which made dropping and recovering easy. Plenty of room for parking. I was able to back the 22 ft boat into the end of the driveway and park it with enough room for cars to get by. Beds were cozy and decks were beautiful. Stores were close by and very convenient. Would stay again!

This was a great space for our group. Fast communication, lots of space, great dock. We also appreciated the second upstairs fridge for food and drinks since cooking for a crowd always means lots of groceries. We were bummed there was no gas for the Blackstone, though.

4 generations of family staying together for our annual summer lake trip! We were lucky enough to also rent the house next door so it was perfect for our entire family! This house was beautiful, super clean, kitchen very well stocked, great yard, deck, covered dock (perfect to hang out & get some shade during the hot days), comfortable beds in nicely decorated rooms, big bathrooms, & awesome lower level (pool table, foosball & hang out space). We could not have asked for more honestly! Jill was amazing & super fast at replying to all my questions (thank you Jill, you’re the BEST!!) Absolutely LOVED your lake home! We enjoyed every gorgeous sunset, every family dinner, & catching up together with everyone in our family. Thanks for a fantastic week!!!

Summer family Lake vacation

We had an amazing stay. It was our first time to the lake and it won’t be our last highly recommend this property. It was everything we wanted and so much more. We look forward to next summer.

Great Family Vacation

This is our 3rd time renting this property. We love coming here. The views are amazing, the access to the lake is easy, the house is super comfortable for our family. We will definitely come again. The owners are great and super responsive to questions if we have any. Highly recommend!!

Gorgeous sunsets

We loved our stay here at this house. The kids caught lots of fish and we enjoyed many beautiful sunsets. The kitchen is very well stocked and has everything you need. Communication with the owner was fantastic to help with planning and making sure we had everything we needed. It’s a bonus at the house has a nice yard area for kids to play. The only thing I wish this house had was deeper water and ability to jump off the upper deck.

Great stay on Lake Gaston!

We stayed at this wonderful property for almost a week with my family/extended family. The owner was very prompt with communication, and the house was very clean, and in great working order. All the descriptions were accurate. The sunset every day was fabulous. We would rent again!!

Beautiful Sunsets & Perfect for Family Vacation

We throughly enjoyed our family vacation at this home. Owner was very communicative and always was efficient at answering any questions. The home accommodates our group of 12 perfectly. The dock also nicely accommodated our 19ft Flying Scot sailboat and our very large inflatable raft for lounging. We all took turns and enjoyed using the owners kayaks to explore the little island across from the dock. The sunsets were amazing!!

Lake time Bliss

We had a glorious time during our stay. A perfect space for relaxing and spending time with family. The house offered plenty of room and plenty to do for 5 adults and 4 active teenagers. Being able to walk right out to the lake to fish, hop on the boat that we rented, or to enjoy time floating was perfection for all of us. We’re already coordinating our calendar for our trip next year.

Location! Water Views and a Comfortable Stay.

Loved our long weekend at the house on Lake Gaston. The home had all the amenities needed, kayaks, paddle boards, life vests, sand toys, umbrellas, board games, etc. would recommend and will return. Great location on the lake. Beautiful views. Would recommend taking your own sheets and towels, the ones provided are worn and thin. Also take your own kitchen supplies, Al foil, plastic wrap, trash bags, paper towels, hand towels, napkins, etc… minor comments on such a wonderful home.

Wonderful Family Get Away

We have enjoyed staying here so much that we came back and brought our family. This is such a comfortable house, wit easy access to the lake. We spend all day on the lake and come up in the evening for dinner. It looks s so nice to have 2 full refrigerators as we are a family that loves to cook together. It is a very well appointed kitchen- with 2 crock pots!! This made dinner so simple!! We rented a boat and a jet ski - and there was plenty of room to tie them down at night. When we were not on the upper deck (bring shade for this - we used our Shibumi)- we were floating in tubes tied to the deck or out on the boat or jet ski. There is great shade on the lower deck if you prefer! The sunsets are so wonderful! We stop and enjoy them every night. The gas grill is easy to use and clean to make dinners even better. The beds are comfortable- so we were all well rested. There was even time for a little Pool and Foozeball tourney!! There were not enough hours to do all the fun things we love to do at the lake!! We love this house and will definitely come again. Thanks to the wonderful host!! We very much enjoyed our welcome basket!! Such a fun time!!

Family Get-together with fun activities and beautiful views

The house and property were exactly as described; a nice, flat backyard for games, a deck with a spectacular view, Kayaks and Dock for activities, spacious bedrooms and common living areas. The family enjoyed the Pool Table and Foosball Table in the evenings. The days were filled with swimming, fishing, kayaking and we rented a boat from a local marina. We were able to dock the boat at the lake house. The two-tier boat house provided a lovely place to enjoy morning coffee and the shallow water around the boat house was great for swimming and fishing. The house had ample parking available. We had family coming from multiple directions, so this was important for us. There were 2 full refrigerators in the main part of the house. We had come with food to feed 12 people for a week, so it was great to have enough space to store the food. The kitchen was well stocked with plates, cups, silverware, cooking utensils, pots and pans. There was also ample room to store dry goods. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. We had some adults in the "bunk room", which was a little crowded, but we would not have been able to fit the whole family without the bunk room. My only (slightly) negative comment was that the cleaning crew could have done a better job, especially on the floors. Overall the experience was fantastic and the owners were very helpful!

Wonderful Long Weekend

What a wonderful long weekend enjoying the beautiful lake and sunsets!! The house was super clean, and very comfortable to be in. We spent our days on the lake kayaking, floating by the dock ( we brought tubes and tethered ourselves to the dock), or enjoying the upper deck views. The lake had a very steady wind most days and we brought our Shibumi for shade on the upper deck. The lake is beautiful and not too cold (78 degrees) which was perfect to enjoy the water. The lower level of the dock is shaded the most of the day, so you do not have to bring shade to stay out of the sun. The kitchen was well appointed with a butler’s pantry off the laundry room that included another full fridge. We cooked every night and enjoyed our coffee on the deck every morning. The sunsets were spectacular!! It is an easy walk from the house to the dock- only having to go down 1 flight of stairs to get to the level back yard. Can’t wait to bring the whole family down to enjoy the lake with us. There is plenty of room with 5 bedrooms!! Next time, we will rent a boat to be able to see more of the lake - and you can even rent for more than one day as there is an extra slip in the dock, or you can tie up next to the dock. Would definitely recommend!!

Nice Thanksgiving Holiday Stay

The property was nice, clean, worked well for our needs, and was as advertised. Overall happy with our holiday weekend stay. The only short-coming I would note was it not having a cable or dish service for live network tv. It was a bit cumbersome for us setting up our personal TV accounts just so we could watch live network programs like Thanksgiving parades and football games. We made it work, but took considerable time getting things setup.

Great week at Lake Gaston

This property worked well for our family of 8 adults and 4 children although most of our time was spent outdoors. The covered dock is shaded most of the day for those individuals looking for a cool place to relax. For sun lovers the upstairs deck is perfect. The 2 full size refrigerators were a major plus. Thank you Laura for sharing your home with us!!

Beautiful views and well equipped house

Our family really enjoyed our stay at your house. The door at the breakfast nook needs some attention and one of the pull out drawers in the pantry is not on track good, light over the stove needs replacing. Other than that, the house is very well equipped. Thank you.

Spring getaway

Spent a long weekend with family. Beautiful home with fantastic view. Although the weather was unseasonably cold, we did enjoy the dock and the decks. Had great quality family time. Good location on the lake. Enjoyed dinner at Waters View Restaurant and a great hike at Medoc State Park. Communication with owner was simple and very responsive. Will definitely return
