Very convenient in proximity to station. Good for business location. 28 dgr !!! In room and unable to change the temperature despite the very noisy AC. Very humid and difficult to sleep. Even without the AC on, the noise was unbearable…the property is dated and needs a fresh look inside the toilet and some fixtures.

Sleepless night
The hotel was lovely, comfortable and clean. Ideally situated and warm. The air conditioning kept me awake all night, and although they offered us another room (adjacent to one where they were playing music at around 3am) , it would have been a waste of time. The aircon issue is a known issue down the end of the hotel where we stayed. They offered us 40% off our next stay. 40% off another sleepless night? No thanks. This was not indicative of other Mercures we’ve stayed at - the last one in Cologne was perfect.

Very lovely place to stay especially if you want to be in the outskirts of Liverpool stadium and all the shopping not that far will defo recommend and was a lovely stay and the room was amazing and pillows

Disappointing breakfast
We generally stay in this hotel when we visit family in St. Helens. It’s always very clean and comfortable but can be quite pricey. This weekend however the breakfast was very disappointing. It was mostly cold as was the tea and coffee and the coffee machine wasn’t working either.

It’s a place to shower and sleep. Pretty clean room but there aren’t any amenities and the staff aren’t real friendly…..would not let us check in early. Check in is 3pm and we were told that we wouldn’t be able to check in early even though we’d just flown all night from the US and took four trains to get to St Helen’s to come to a funeral. Don’t expect much

The hotel is good value. The facilities (pool) needs a good refurb. The staff were excellent. The parking is a bit strange I understand it is owned by a third party.

Great location, short walk to the train station. Plenty of food options in the surrounding area. Hotel is lovely, room was spacious and clean. Staff friendly. The pool/steam/sauna were great aswell. You need to book a slot to swim, the staff were really helpful so just pop in to ask for times.
