“Lovely hotel and very helpful staff. Excellent food. Disappointed with the spa facilities, certainly not luxury. Massage rooms were in a hut next to the swimming pool. You had to walk behind the reception desk and through the swimming pool to get there. There was no relaxation room. Enjoyed the massage but for the price I had hoped for some luxury and somewhere to lie down and chill afterwards. Also you have to go through the tiny gym to get to the hot tub and if someone is using the treadmill……

“Room was large, en suite, very clean, shower hot and with a strong flow. Bed very comfortable. TV a good size. Tea/Coffee facilities in room, along with a hair dryer, spare blanket (if needed) and clean towels. Room was airy, even on the hot day. Since it was a hot spell, the thick curtains were drawn in our room to keep the room cool, which was a nice welcomed touch. Small fan/heater in the room was quite effective in keeping the room cooler if needed. Pub itself had evening meals and a……

“The room was clean and comfortable, staff couldn’t have been more helpful, preparing an earlier breakfast as we needed to leave before the usual breakfast time. It is old - worldly and it is friendly and welcoming.”

“The hotel could be amazing but unfortunately it is now dated and needs to be refurbished. The standard twin room does not have an overhead shower and the room was dated and shabby. There was no bottled water as stated either. The room was also very hot and they do not provide fans as standard. The pool is lovely but does need a little TLC and the showers in the changing rooms are extremely hot. As is the general temperature of the changing rooms. There was an issue with scolding hot water from……
