"Oh, gosh, what a place! Pedro, we so enjoyed your lovely house in the center of this hill town village surrounded by farm land. Each morning we took a walk and were greeted by the village animals: cows, cats, goats, and roosters. Your home was located in the center of all the places we wanted to hike. And the village restaurant had delicious food including the bifana sandwich. Your pool was the highlight of our evening as we swam and rested. We will return!"

"Casa d’Arco of Tradicampo was the best home we have ever stayed at. The huge terrace patio with peaceful views of a nearby farm and rolling hills, the cozy fireplace, the beautifully appointed bedrooms taking one back many decades with their classic decor. The attention to detail to make you feel at home is superb - bath robes, slippers, extra blankets, fireplaces, fresh baked goods and home made jams, fully stocked kitchen with condiments and nice surprises in the fridge, a Christmas tree,...

"From check in to check out, Quinta Da Mo was magic! Luis was there to greet us, tour the property and give us so much information on the island and what to do etc. We stayed in the main yellow house (2 adults and our four kids) and every moment of our stay was perfect. we used the amenities, the sauna, hot tub, Turkish bath, lounge area and I cooked most of our meals at the house both inside in the kitchen and in the outdoor kitchen where we lit a fire in the brick oven and grilled local steaks...

"The staff are excellent, the location provides beautiful views, and the breakfast is perfect to start the day. In addition, the rooms are a good size (similar to US hotels), clean, and well appointed. I look forward to staying at The Lince Nordeste again in the future and will recommend this hotel to all of family and friends who are traveling to Nordeste."

"Terra Nostra Garden Hotel is like a slice of Eden! Set in Furnas, one of the most beautiful places we visited in São Miguel, it offers peace and natural beauty in abundance. The staff were excellent — friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. There are plenty of lovely lounges and quiet corners to relax in. Our room was large and spotless, with the biggest bed I’ve ever seen! It had a small balcony but no seating — if I stayed again (and I definitely would), I’d book a room with outdoor space. The only slight inconvenience was that housekeeping ran until 17:00, and as we returned from hiking around 16:00, our room wasn’t always done yet. We dined in the restaurant twice — the food was delicious, service fantastic, and there were even great vegetarian options, which can be hard to find in the Azores. The spa was lovely, though the steam room didn’t drain properly, leaving some standing water. The real highlight is the setting. Terra Nostra Garden is breathtaking — filled with lush trees, flowers, and ponds. The thermal pool is amazing: large and wonderfully warm. Best of all, guests have exclusive access in the morning and after 16:30, when it’s beautifully quiet. Furnas itself is small, charming, and easy to explore. I would 100% recommend staying here — it’s truly unforgettable."

"I’m so happy we chose to stay at Hotel Verde Mar. It’s a beautiful and modern hotel, the staff are so kind and helpful, the breakfast is delicious, it’s right by the ocean, and parking is free. They also have a separate towel service for going to thermal pools or swimming in the ocean which is convenient. The location is also so great, you can walk into Ribiera Grande for food, and there’s a grocery story 1 minute away. Also again the proximity to the ocean is so nice. The room is quite nice, our room had a balcony overlooking the ocean. I had been concerned about the bathroom having a window into the main room but there is a shade that can be drawn that fully covers it. When I come back to Sao Miguel I will definitely stay here again. "

"Very nice hotel. Modern with all you needed for a stay. Close to all major roads, walking was safe and staff members helpful. Our room was on the 3rd floor (no elevator) but not an issue for us, may be for some. Hot water took about 5 minutes to get to the shower in the morning, once it was there it was ready to go. "
