Family Home near Angel with Terrace - Pass the Keys
There’s a wonderful sense of space and light throughout this three-bedroom, three-bathroom maisonette in the heart of Clerkenwell. Set across almost 1,800 sq ft, the home combines generous rooms, high ceilings and large windows with a contemporary finish and a substantial private terrace overlooking leafy Northampton Square. Angel, Old Street, Exmouth Market and Clerkenwell’s cafés, restaurants and bars are all within easy reach, making this a brilliant base for families or groups.
I think what makes this home stand out is the sheer sense of space. In central London, it’s rare to find a home that feels this generous, bright and open, while still being so well connected to everything around it.
The maisonette spans almost 1,800 sq ft and has three bedrooms and three bathrooms, so there’s room for everyone to settle in properly. High ceilings and large windows bring in plenty of natural light, while the layout gives the home a lovely flow between the kitchen, dining and living spaces.
The kitchen and dining area are one of the real hubs of the home. It’s spacious, modern and designed for everyday living, with plenty of worktop space, a large dining table and an island that naturally becomes the place for breakfast, coffee or chatting while someone cooks.
The living area feels just as generous, with comfortable seating and wide doors opening directly onto the terrace. That connection between the inside and outside is one of the things I love most about the house — it makes the whole space feel even larger.
The private terrace is a real highlight. It’s substantial, with plenty of room to sit outside together, and it looks out towards the greenery of Northampton Square. It’s a rare bit of breathing room in central London and makes a lovely spot for morning coffee, lunch or simply stepping outside at the end of the day.
The bedrooms are bright and well proportioned, with large windows and enough space to properly unpack and settle in. Some also have desk areas, which is useful if you need to work during your stay or want a quieter place to plan the day. With three bathrooms, the home also works particularly well for families or groups, making mornings much easier when everyone is getting ready at the same time.
The house has a lovely balance of old and new. There are elegant proportions and period details, but the overall feel is clean, modern and comfortable rather than formal.
To help you settle in, we’ll leave a starter welcome pack with complimentary tea and coffee, travel-sized toiletries, and everyday essentials such as loo roll, kitchen roll and washing-up bits to get you through the first few days.
The location is another big part of the appeal. Ashby Street puts you within easy reach of Angel, Old Street, Exmouth Market and Clerkenwell, with cafés, restaurants, bars and shops close by. Northampton Square adds a leafy outlook, while Farringdon and the wider City are also easy to reach when you need to travel further.
It’s the kind of home that gives you the best of both worlds — plenty of space to relax and spend time together, while still being right in the middle of one of London’s most interesting neighbourhoods.
As this is a central London location, you may hear some normal city sounds from time to time, particularly during busier periods.
You have access to the entire property with no disruptions. Should a maintenance query occur, you will be asked permission first before we access the property to carry out a repair.
