The lobby and reception are great and there's welcome drinking. But the room has a design defect for the bathtub. The restroom is too small. It's an old style hotel room.

Serious security problem
My sister and I stayed there from 3 March – 7 March, everything was fine until the day before we left (6 March). Obviously there was someone trying to open our luggage as I found that one of the luggage lock was a bit damaged when we back the room. Not sure if it was someone from outside the hotel or the hotel’s own staff did this, there was a security problem no matter which. I complained to the hotel staff immediately and the manager and his crew came to my room immediately to investigate and helped me to fix the lock. He and his crew also wrote down my email and told me they would send me update once they had looked into the issue. Now a month has passed, I have never received any updates from them. Not hopeful in getting any news from them, just that if you wanna stay here , remember to LOCK YOU LUGGAGE VERY VERY VERY WELL.

這個飯店比較適合商務客,不太適合觀光客,因為離逛街購物比較遠一點 房間的浴室非常小,房間也很小,設施也比較舊,床也不太好,不過飯店員工都非常友善,只有這個是滿意的

While initial impressions were high on the junior level suite I quickly was disappointed by a few things 1. This was a mid March visit and the room was so cold that one the first night I slept with the robe on (the robe provided by the hotel). The next day I spoke with someone at the front desk. I explained that my room was freezing last night. They did not seem surprised by the complaint. They quickly stated that a housekeeper would bring a heater to my room. So obviously they had heard this before if you have a heater readily available then you have heard this complaint before. handy to send to the room. 2. The heater brought to the room had a missing wheel and therefore would not sit straight and wobbled. 3. The thermostat in the room even when set to its highest temperature left the room cold. 4. The feel of the bed/mattress. It was a slab of concrete and I woke up sore every morning. 5. I ordered room service one night and the food was marginal at best. 6. Not much of a selection in the mini bar so I left it alone. 7. I left my room card to unlock the door in my room and went to the front desk to ask for another one. I was uncomfortable with the fact that they simply asked me to verify my name in order to get another room card that fell a bit unsafe because anyone could verify my name. This is something that I think of as a female traveling alone. If I return to London I will not use this hotel again.

Allocated room was below standard. Toilet door broken. Bedside electrical socket broken. No upgrade although upgrade available. All unfortunate as it’s a lively hotel with good staff.

On first impressions, the hotel was very good, however on arrival we were told our room was unavailable, after paying for a king size deluxe room. We ended up in a room with x2 single beds pushed together which is always not the most comfortable. The restaurant was closed for evening meals. The bar was open for food but the service wasn’t the greatest. Once we went back it the room for the evening it was like a oven so hot, air conditioning wasn’t working. So the night sleep was pretty uncomfortable to be fair. The walls are paper thin you can here everything from the rooms joint to yours, the joining door in the room is only a single door so feels like your with your neighbour at times.

Noisy hotel for sleepless nights
My first night was in a corner room on the 4th floor which faced out towards the busy Euston Rd. It was incredibly hot in the room (and landing areas too) and remained so even after switching the heating off. The hotel told me that aircon was not available at this time of year, so I had to keep the windows open all night listening to horrendous traffic noise! Having had little or no sleep I asked for a quieter room the next day and whilst the traffic noise was slightly reduced, unfortunately the interior walls are very thin, so it was a crying baby, a noisy neighbour on a hands free call and a couple shouting at each other in the room above! Needless to say I checked out and found another place to stay tonight. The hotel is old, has no sound proofing and metal single glazed windows, so unfortunately the rooms are very noisy. I shan’t be going back sorry.

For the price we paid for this hotel, the experience was truly terrible. To start, there were only two working elevators which meant that we were forced to take four flights of stairs several times a day with two children, bags, and a stroller in tow. The breakfast at the supposedly VIP “Level” area was pure chaos with way too many people. And to top it off, the concierge failed to order our van to the airport despite multiple requests which caused a total nightmare on our departure day. I will never stay at this property again and plan to submit a complaint to management.

Lovely hotel with a nice ambiance the only minus is the lifts. They were hard to use and ironically inconvenient, they didn’t work so we had to use the service lift

Heel mooi en fijn hotel. Ligging is goed. Vlakbij 2 metrostations waarbij je zo bij de belangrijkste bezienwaardigheden bent. Op ongeveer 15 minuten lopen van Oxford street. Personeel erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ontbijt erg goed. Ruime keuze. Warme en koude gerechten. Diner was ook erg goed. We hadden halfpension geboekt. We konden door ons theater bezoek geen gebruik maken van het buffet ivm de tijd. We mochten ipv het buffet kiezen van de a la carte diner kaart. Heerlijk gegeten. Zeker een aanrader om halfpension te boeken.

Delightful hotel
Modern hotel with beautiful rooms and great selection of toiletries. Bed was a little too firm for me and the noise from other guests disturbed me during the night. Breakfast was fabulous, a wide selection of hot and cold choices.

Not what paid for
This was not what I paid for and not what I was promised. The room wasn’t soundproof at all. You could hear every little thing from the hall and neighbor rooms. The bed wasn’t a queen it was 2 hard beds uncomfortable pushed together.

Location is great and the property and staff were very pleasant and presented extremely well. However the room size was very small box and looked nothing like the website image for a double deluxe room, bed was uncomfortable and the temperature control system was difficult to manage, roadside noise was loud if window was opened, the bed was hard and bedding was a minimal standard so sleeping was very disturbed. Pretty disappointed nights stay as the images and website description was quite the contrary.

Disappointed that having requested a quiet room we were put in a room directly above the restaurant. Noisy with furniture moving etc. pillows on beds were feeble. No support. Duvet wasn’t big enough for the bed. Bedside tables are crazy. Big design holes in them. May look cool but totally impractical for putting a glass on in the middle of the night. Not at all safe and risk of breaking glass. Shower over bath difficult to get in and out of (and we are able bodied). No soap in the shower. Only two milk portions in the room. Overall poor and disappointing.

What have they done to the Melia White House? No handsome dark wood in the room, no own brand toiletries with that wonderful sandalwood smell, front desk pushing you to use a machine to check in and out. Expedia VIP member but no recognition, no upgrade or other amenities. Very average staff service. More training required!!
