I cant deny that the room left us disappointed. There were 3 levels of room available... a standard double, a superior double, and a deluxe double. To pay significantly more for a deluxe double room, which clearly stated it came with a double bed, yet be met with a room housing 2 single beds pushed together, made me wonder how much worse the superior or standard rooms were.
There's nothing more romantic than playing rock paper scissors to decide who's going to spend the night wedged in the gap between the mattresses so that we can lay next to each other. For an otherwise well decorated, well presented hotel, it was a poor show for a suposedly 4* establishment.
