Business center only a box with a computer and the computer is no internet access. Room space is ok. I have remove all mini bar drinks sit on the table, housekeeping staff was charge me all the drinks on my room bill. The front desk staff not intend to take off the drinks on bill when I ask review my room bill a night before I leave the hotel. The guy just told us, when you check out, you just tell us you don,t take those drink then we will take out from your bill. The value of the hotel is convenient location but all traveller need take precaution of the crime in London very high.

The hotel is located conveniently to many attractions, and the tube. The service was great, as was the size of the rooms (larger than other European hotel rooms). The only down side is that the property is a bit older (especially the bathrooms) and could use some renovations, but that did not stop us from enjoying the property!

Great entrance to the hotel, room was good and as described, service in the lounge bar was extremely slow, staff didn’t know what was on the drinks menu and I’m still waiting for a jug of hot water for my pot of tea! Probably will stay again, due to location of hotel.

Wir bekamen das Zimmer 902, welches sich in der obersten Etage befand. Von dort aus konnte man sogar den Big Ben sehen. Es war alles sehr sauber, nur die Fensterrahmen schon etwas heruntergekommen. Der Fußboden hatte sehr geknarrt, was die im Raum unter uns hoffentlich nicht störte. Zu Beginn hatte sich unser Fernseher nach ein paar Sekunden stets ausgeschaltet. Darum kümmerte sich sofort einer vom Personal und als dies nicht half, wurde ein neuer Fernseher eingebaut. Dieser funktionierte dann auch. Das Personal war stets freundlich. Zum Essen kann ich nichts sagen, da wir ohne Verpflegung buchten. Ich würde jederzeit wieder dieses Hotel wählen.

Loved the location and the architecture of the building. But the rooms need a big time update. I booked 2 rooms as we were 4 people in my family. Both rooms were very hot. We didn’t have control for the temperature and the windows were sealed . We couldn’t get fresh air. The linen were not soft , and the bathrooms are outdated. In the positive side, the staff were very kind and respectful, and the location there is the best!!! I walked to all the places I wanted to see from there.

This hotel is in the heart of London. It is easy to get everywhere from the Piccadilly Vircus stop. The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly. My stay was satisfactory overall. The highlight of this property is undoubtedly its location. Situated in the heart of the city, it's perfect for first-time visitors keen on exploring the area's attractions. The lobby exuded a welcoming atmosphere, with ample seating available for guests while they wait for their rooms to be prepared. However, once in the room, it was evident that the property is showing signs of wear and tear. The carpet appeared visibly dirty, hinting at a lack of recent renovations. While it's clear the hotel once boasted a higher standard, it seems to have fallen behind in maintenance. The bathroom, unfortunately, didn't meet expectations either. It felt less than clean, with the presence of a smelly shower curtain detracting from the overall experience. On a more positive note, breakfast was a pleasant experience. The breakfast hall was well-lit, contributing to a comfortable dining atmosphere. While the property may not live up to a true four-star standard, it adequately serves its purpose. In conclusion, while the hotel's location and welcoming lobby are commendable, its aging facilities and cleanliness issues detract from its overall appeal.

Service staff were good however check in was a mess. Despite arriving early and being checked in without being giving room numbers. When we came back at 15.00 only one room was ready. I was assured that both rooms were in same floor. So we proceeded to go out and get the other room upon return. Only to find I was allocated a room on the 2nd floor instead of the 6th along with the family. 2nd floor is far to close to the street and was not what I was told. Reception desk were of no help when questioned in this and just blamed their colleagues for the mistake. No apology made. For five star this was poor service considering I booked two room and only to have one available in the first instance. Especially again since i had just spent over 300 euro for an afternoon tea in the terrace. Room service did not answer either when called several times.

First time here and won’t be the last. I’ve used other hotels in the area but The Dilly offers so much more for guests. Reception staff were lovely, the room was great as were the birthday surprises. Breakfast was a great range of choice and also available eggs cooked to order. The facilities are really lovely with the common areas having plenty of chairs and nooks for you to sit. Great hotel.

Stayed on a business trip and booked a Junior Suite so that I could work which cost a premium. The internet was dreadful and kept dropping. Despite a number of complaints which were not resolved I was advised it was likely to be an issue with my laptop. To compound the issue I then endured 20 minutes of the smoke alarm beeping every couple of seconds and had to make several calls to get someone to attend to check the problem. When the manager did attend he confirmed the problem and moved me to another room. Remarkably the internet in the new room had full signal. I am sure the hotel has a lot going for it but unfortunately the staff were not particularly helpful and for me The Dilly was not worth the money I paid.

Extremely safe property quite very close to shopping options. Dining option are countless walkable to many sites extremely convenient. I don't ever leave reviews but l wouldn't recommend this hotel other than the convenient location & that the staff were very friendly, helpful, courteous and welcoming. A 5* hotel?? The room was extremely poorly maintained. Decorating was poor, visible leaks to bedroom ceiling, bathroom ceiling & terrible damage to walls in the room. Bath had rust marks. Paintwork to door frames was extremely bad. Floor creaked appallingly when walking on it ...can’t imagine how it sounded for the room below. Reception - Clanda was extremely helpful & found us a new room......we had to wait some time whilst this was made available but she dealt with the situation perfectly.....thank you. I have to say I was extremely disappointed; I expected a 5* experience and it came nowhere close. Breakfast offered a good range to meet a range of tastes but we were the first down to breakfast at 7.30am & the hot, cooked selection was anything but hot....it was cold; the plates were also cold which didn’t help. The scrambled egg....is it powdered?......really not pleasant and several others left if too....awful texture and extremely wet and grainy. We emailed the hotel 3 times prior to our visit and 5 days later and we're home, still no reply to something so easy to answer in which to reassure and help a prospective guest. Would I recommend this hotel.....I am afraid not. Pool ok. Building works going on. Changing facilities adequate but showers dated and cubicles very lacking.

The Dilly is a lovely hotel and we have stayed many times. The pool is lovely but very cold. The breakfast can be a little busy at times and one of the tea/coffee machines was broken that lead to massive que’s . We had a suite but our daughter found the bed to be uncomfortable and our previous suite did not have this issue. Our bed was too soft and both my wife and I struggled to sleep. At the time of our stay there was very loud roadworks taking place and some work next door and due to our rooms location found this to be what is classed as excessive noise. Please note as a defence it is half term and the hotel was very busy and on previous stays recently we had no noise issues and the suite was lovely and hence why we returned. Staff are lovely and polite and the hotel is in an amazing location and has great facilities and usually breakfast is easy and too a good standard.

Mattresses are old, pillows worn out. The fit out is generally 2nd rate and all rooms need a re-fit. Paint is stained from use, chipped plaster worn at corners etc. Signs of age. Nothing fatal, but old. Breakfast room is nice, on the second floor. Lobby is busy, busy all the time because the hotel could not possible be better located - steps away from Regent Street, Picadilly, Shaftsbury Avenue - shopping, theater, tourism, subways to take you literally anywhere at your fingertips. Lobby restaurant is a bit eurotrash and should be shut down and re-fitted as a sunny, general service place with windows to the street instead of dark middle eastern. I think its a tenant. Basement bar is to be avoided.
