I love the hotel the location and the cigar lounge but the hotel was against to book throw hotels.com because the don’t offer any benfits like upgrade to a higher category specially that I book disabled room throw hotels by mistake

Excellent 5 star plus boutique hotel... felt welcome and appreciated from check in to check out. Only was there one night but would have looked forward to spending a few more days there.

Was overall excellent. My shower had some repairs that needed to be fixed but it happened right away. I was a bit disappointed that I was put in an accessible room so the bathroom was not very functional. Was hoping they would move me or upgrade me for a reasonable price but didn’t happen. Still, was very satisfied overall. Thanks.

Although the hotel is pretty, the service and room functionality are not worthy of a 5 star hotel. Despite paying the typical price of a top class hotel, expect a Marriott which is what this hotel is. The doorman did not meet us to help with our bags when checking in. Our suite (401) faced an extremely busy road and had french doors that wouldn’t stay closed, so our room was very loud. There was no cold water from the taps in the bathroom, it went from hot to Luke warm. Room service forgot items. House keeping didn’t bring back express laundry on time and didn’t provide turn down service one night despite the service room light being on. The suite, their top level room, was literally 2 feet from the elevator. Our suite was booked through Expedia and was stated to have either 2 twin beds or 1 king. This was not the case and when I requested twin beds several days prior to check in, I was told this was not possible. Michela, the person that I dealt with through multiple emails, was not helpful nor terribly apologetic. I was also not allowed to cancel the reservation. Even though the hotel was aware that the suite was to house 2 people that preferred twin beds, it was not set up with separate bedding or a roll away upon check in. I had to request it myself from the check in staff. The Wellesley clearly doesn’t deserve it’s 5 star rating.

I am writing to express my appreciation for the quality of service you offered me and my wife during our stay at the Wellesley Knightsbridge Hotel in London. It was our 1st time here! We had a wonderful one week vacation. Despite of the many offers we received from other hotels, we decided for your hotel because of the unbeatable deal you offered us. It was a very good decision; We enjoyed the peace and quiet we needed with luxury, very high quality offered in all the facilities of your gorgeous hotel. This definitely added to the excellent service of the staff in every segment of your hotel. Every staff member with whom we came in contact was attentive, kind and professional including receptionists, room service staff. I just wanted to let you know how much we valued that effort, how impressive and gracious and how greatly we appreciate everything that you personally and your staff did for us. Moreover we like the experience for drop off with Rose Rise. We will definitely recommend your hotel to our friends, colleagues and family, and I’m sure we’ll be back. Prachtig maar klein hotel zeer duur ingericht vriendelijk personeel Italiaans Zeer duur alles bar, restaurant ontbijt was echt armzalig enkel pastries en yoghurt geen brood geen charcuterie geen kazen enkel kaart waaruit je heel wat kan kiezen maar heel duur ! Hadden Dover Sole genomen was uit diepvries echt niet lekker wel 48€ ! Geen zuivere handdoeken s’avonds, badkamer vloerverwarming erg warm wel heel mooi ook de kamer heel erg mooi en proper. Wel koud in hotel en ook in de bar door in en uit geloop van rokende mensen naar terras. Terras verwarmd owv cigar bar.

Highly recommend!
Excellent! Great location close to Buckingham Palace, parks and good shopping. Beautiful room with luxurious finishes. Wonderful staff and service who accommodated a special request and were over the top friendly! My only very tiny negative observation (but please don’t let this stop you from staying in this superb hotel) is that we were turned away from breakfast one morning as my husband was wearing shorts. I totally understand that this is a high end hotel with high end dining, however turning away shorts (golf shorts mind you, not athletic shorts) seems a bit antiquated particularly when others were seen wearing sweat pants/pajama pants. However the breakfasts were delicious and service top notch so again, do not let this deter you. Overall we were thrilled with our stay in this hotel and would recommend to anyone looking for a little luxury and exemplary service! Thank you for helping to make our holiday so enjoyable!

Swanky stay in London
Chose the hotel because of its proximity to Hyde Park (went to a concert there). Asked for early check in and got it. The service was top notch. Some highlights: complimentary ironing service (limited) upon check in, a ride to Harrod's in the Rolls Royce, a cell phone for your use for local calls and web use, live jazz in the club The only downside that I can think of is the lingering smell of cigar smoke in the lobby.
