"This was an amazing property. Well maintained. Clean and great facilities. Lisa was amazing and other staff were very friendly. We did the trail to the brook and it was nicely marked. Getting up the hill was a challenge with heavy bags so consider taking staff up on offered assistance. Will for sure recommend this to others if they are traveling in the area."

"The dome itself was lovely and well situated on the water. The bed was uncomfortable, but the linens were clean. I was very disappointed in the facilities. I have no issues with using a pit toilet, however you must provide some running water for guests. "Everything was great at this centrally located inn for travel around Cape Breton. We received a tip on check-in from the desk clerk about a 'kitchen party' musical performance just down the street our first evening, and for $20 each it turned out to be a masterful performance from a fiddler-keyboard duo who treated us to two hours of Cape Breton music (plus we were served tea and oatcakes). That tip alone was worth booking at Auberge Gisele! Other than that the rooms, on-site restaurant, and outdoor seating and lounging areas were just great - no complaints. Staff were helpful and courteous. Would book again in an instant - we stayed for four nights and completely worth it!"
