The Sand Cay Beach Resort is a quaint and quiet resort ideally located “mid-Key”, close to lots of shops, restaurants, activities and museums. In addition to the beautiful beach, Sand Cay has all the amenities a beach lover would seek…heated pool, shuffleboard, tennis/pickleball court, large outdoor barbeque grills to name a few. The buildings are maintained to a high standard, and we are pleased to have staff on-site seven days/week to assist you with any needs.
Sand Cay is just a few miles from Mote Aquarium, St. Armand’s Circle, and the popular Bridge Street area in nearby Bradenton Beach on Anna Maria Island. Boat and bike rentals, kayak tours, parasailing, golf, fishing and so much more are all nearby – the friendly and helpful office staff can point you in the right direction. For meals, you can pick up groceries at a new and spacious Publix just down Gulf of Mexico Drive. Or dine out at a wide array of restaurants right on the Key, including a beach bar right next door at the Zota Beach Resort. Many acclaimed restaurants are on the Key (including, Dry Dock, Shore LBK, Harry’s and Mar Vista), and an abundance in Sarasota. End your day by watching simply remarkable sunsets over the Gulf. Many renters return year after year.
Longboat Key is a safe, quiet beach community. It is a very residential community compared to most beach front areas that can be crowded, congested, and noisy.
