Fire in Building and Broken Shower
Where do I start… let’s start with parking. Awful. Especially after leaving your spot due to having to evacuate the building because of a fire in the basement. Trying to find a new spot at 4am.. not fun. Either make some parking for guests or adjust your price. Next, our attempt at a romantic shower was ruined with a broken shower handle and only cold water. Cool. I then notified the host, Tory, and while she was ‘helpful’ through it all, I’m not sure how real the attempt to fix it was. We tried to use it again after “the building manager” checked on it, but now it was only boiling hot water. Ouch?Did anyone even try to fix it? Despite all this, the room was good enough to sleep and stay in. Not a quiet neighborhood or building. After all of this, I requested for a refund of any sort due to having to deal with the fire, evacuating and the water issue, but nothing. No apology. But a lie stated that I never notified the owner about it. (I did and I have text evidence of it). Overall, we were very unsatisfied and upset — this was suppose to be a nice vacation for my boyfriend (who was visiting from out of town) and I. Don’t get me wrong, the building was beautiful. But the experience and lack of care for guests was not. I’m disappointed I picked such a spot. And I’m disappointed that there was no care to alleviate such a bad experience. Be careful when booking this place.
