This is a great place to stay. My wife and I stayed for 12 days over Christmas 2025. It’s a cottage behind the main house with a large room and a loft. The main room has a queen size bed, kitchen and bathroom. The house is in a nice residential neighborhood which was ideal to walk my dog. Lots of good food options a very short drive from the house.

Close enough to the Rose Bowl

I enjoyed our stay here. I loved the pool and seating around it. Inside was nice. Lots of tiki souvenirs. I loved the location a lot. It’s in a quiet residential neighborhood. We went to the Cruel world festival at the Rose bowl. It took us just 15 minutes to drive back ! Thank you for a lovely stay.

Super relaxing stay

We spent a few very busy days in LA county sightseeing and college touring so it was perfect to return to this property in the afternoon to relax and recharge. It’s very close to 210 freeway yet it’s so quiet!

vacation in paradise!

We came to visit our grandchildren and wanted a place for them to enjoy a pool. It was the perfect place. The outdoor area was beautiful, well taken care of, had hot tub, great dining area and fire pit. The pictures don’t do it justice. The guest house was so cozy. Jama , our host was so quick to respond and we felt like we had the whole place to ourselves! What a treat. we will be back!

Great Place

Great stay. We spent the week in Pasadena for the Rose Bowl parade and football game. Having this pool house to come back to each day made the trip that much better. The host was extremely responsive and friendly. My kids loved the hot tub and my wife loved the fireplace in the house. We had a great time and can’t wait to come back.

Spring break trip

The location of the house is great, beautiful quiet neighborhood but also close to many stores and restaurants. The house looked just like the pictures, the backyard is a great private space. My teenagers liked just hanging out and relaxing after long days out and about.

Terrific visit - Polynesian Paradise

This awesome property really made for a great Pasadena visit. The unit is equipped smartly and completely. Comfortable beds and living room seating. Loved being able to gate ourselves off and enjoy the wonderful pool and pool deck. Located in a great neighborhood and the host (Jama) is very nice. Evenings on the pool deck looking at the mountains was really enjoyable.

Great Stay

Visiting from the Midwest and found this gem! The place was amazing! Parking was easy, the air conditioning worked well. The best part was the out door amenities. The pool, hot tub, tables, and best of all ambiance were just perfect. I will be coming back again for my next trip. The place was so perfect that we did not want to leave, just spend time in yard. This was my first time out there, thank you again so much for the great memories!

We enjoyed our stay very, very much! We miss it already: hummingbirds, parrots squawking above, Gigantica bird of paradise, views of foliage and San Gabriel mountains, spa, perfect pool and patio set up. The kids spent hours and hours swimming in the pool fit for mermaids. The stars come out at night, the patio aglow with tiki torches. Magical! The hosts and their dogs are a real joy to visit with. Thank you for the peaceful get-away! We highly recommend visiting The Huntington, Octavia’s Bookshelf, Millie’s for breakfast…and Grocery Outlet for groceries. Disneyland was also a snap to get to! My 11 year old would like anyone who stays to rescue honey bees caught in the pool. That was her constant project.

Great Escape

Spent a few days visiting my daughter in LA. This was a perfect little get away for her and we had a great time. We are both fans of Hawaii and enjoyed the unique vibe and beautiful setting. Communication with the Host was excellent and she helped make the visit special. It was a treat to use the spa and fireplace. The kitchen had everything needed for us so we could stay in and spend quality time together. The bed was also very comfortable.

Wonderful rental, with great pool and spa

We loved our stay at Jama and Joanne’s rental. The pool and spa were fantastic, and we all really enjoyed them. The seating areas around the pool were also lovely. The accommodation was great for us (2 adults and 2 teens) and we found it very comfortable, and well equipped with everything we needed. The Hawaiian themed decor is great and adds a special feeling to the rental. We found the location great for spending quiet time by the pool and for heading out to see the sights. Thanks so much for a lovely stay!

Great tropical oasis

The house and yard match the photos and description perfectly. Any questions we had were answered quickly. House has everything you need for your stay.I felt like I was at home. Neighborhood is very nice and quiet. Yard amenities are very relaxing . House was very clean and spacious. Location was great for going to must tourist locations. Be prepared to think your are at a resort. I would definitely vacation here again.

Charming retro Hawaiian getaway

The collection of retro Hawaiian/Polynesian decor is amazing and we found it to be fun (but may be overwhelming to some). The private pool and lovely landscaped patio offer a relaxing space to hang out. The beds were comfy, the kitchen efficient, the host helpful with restaurant recommendations. It's a little challenging for an adult to sleep in the upstairs loft as the only bathroom is downstairs which requires using some stairs and going outside a few steps on the patio to access the entrance door.

Paradise Surprise ~ Tiki style!

First time staying at a VRBO with host onsite. But you would never know it. Lofted cabana poolside is as quiet and private as you can get. Comfortable, clean with all necessary amenities. Plus, the decor is an ode to the obvious love of all things Hawaiin. The theme extends poolside with the tikis and flickering lights AND the surrounding plants. Super quiet neighbor yet close to everything. If we get back to Pasadena, we'll be coming back here. Perfect long weekend!! Thanks Jama.
