「Located off a steep, treacherous hill, the room was dark, old and dingy. The host did not greet us on arrival. We had to figure out where the door to the unit was. We were left to figure out parking (which was crowded and really too small for the number of cars there) on our own. There were no signs or welcome notes. The sheets were worn and the blankets old and musty. Same with towels. The bed was so worn out it had a well in its center. The floor was clean but every other hard surface felt...

「I can’t say this was inaccurate to the description (because there was no picture of the bed...) but certain things you just take for granted, like a nice comfortable, clean bed. The bed was a chaise lounge with a sheet set that was not clear if it was recently used or if it just didn’t fit the “mattress”. The “bed” was right next to a window that had a leak and it was cold and wet. This particular night was high winds and a LOT of rain, and Th e small cadet heater and portable heater were...

「I've never written a bad review before, and wouldn't be doing so here if the hosts had ever responded to my inquiries to them about the issue with the house: mice. First the good: the house is great in a great location. The redwoods are beautiful - 100 foot redwoods all around the house. BBQ worked great. Nice areas to sit inside and out. The property is very cool with some faded grandeur aspects (like the in-ground bar that was built next to the pool - really cool still, probably...

「We had such a wonderful stay with Todd and Kate! They were incredibly kind, welcoming, and made us feel right at home. The room was clean, comfortable, and everything was just as described.
We truly appreciated their hospitality and how easy and pleasant they made the whole experience. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend their place to anyone visiting the area. Thank you so much for everything!」

「This was one of the best experiences with a vacation rental we had in many years. The location is amazing: 5 min from one of the best redwood state parks, and very close from two other parks and the ocean. The surrounding small towns are little gems literally hidden under the canopy of redwoods. The house was very comfortable, had a well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, and well-designed interior. It was so quiet, peaceful, and the air was amazing. The communication with the host was...
