「This is a cute, nicely renovated, roomy, detached cottage set in the middle of a fruit orchard. It was sparkling clean and very quiet which is just how we like it. We were charmed by the orange trees over the patio and at the front door. Despite the bucolic setting, we found it was just a few minutes drive to downtown Chico to restaurants and stores. The hosts were very responsive to any communication and provided clear instructions for checking in and out.」

「The property is very well described. Steps up are a little steep for folks with knee challenges. Kitchen was adequate but not recommended for complicated meals. Bed was amazingly comfortable and the whole property was immaculate. My VERY late check-in was handled perfectly and I really appreciated how simple and easy the whole process was.」

「Property was not clean when we showed up. Floors were dirty and beds left not made and unclean. House is very outdated. Heaters hardly worked. Heater in the living room we had to turn the thermostat to max for it to turn on and the one in the main bedroom seemed to not work at all. We had to wash the bedsheets before using. Luckily they did have a washer and dryer out back but the dryer also didnt seem to work properly. 」

「1951 log home with huge fireplace, woodstove, hot tub and sauna. Beautiful views. Great location near Lassen Volcanic National Park. Remember to gas up and bring food. Only on country store nearby with limited options. Only a couple of restaurants too although I'm sure there are more options in season. Checkin is at Noon which gives you most of the day to get settled. Brandon lives nearby and makes sure everything is ready for your arrival. No wifi and limited cell service so you are truly off...

「We rented this nice house in downtown Chico. It’s was spacious and beautiful. The neighbors were friendly and the neighborhood was quiet. We didn’t do much exploring since we were only there for a short time. But the house was perfect for my family stay. The kids had a playroom which they loved.
