Louisville

Built in 1865, by a German immigrant, this house survived a flood in 1937 and was set to be razed 1953 to make room for the expansion of the city dump. The facade was saved and now is plopped in the middle of a road.

No photo will ever be able to accurately capture this place. From the outside, it looks like a sketchy liquor store. But you walk and are greeted by a bar with dozens of taps and stacks of glasses, and refrigerators of all sorts of beers lining the walls. Then you follow the hallway back and it opens into a seated dining area with heaps of more fridges!! And a final back hallway! Amazing!
