Amazing Accomodations
We couldn't have asked for a more perfect home to stay in during a recent extended weekend trip. Everything about the home is great--the location is walkable to restaurants, a brewery and coffee; the primary kitchen is fully outfitted; the beds are plentiful and comfortable; several big spaces for a group to hang out; and lots of onsite parking. On top of all that, it was pristine and an quick and easy check-in and check-out process. Worth every penny and I would DEFINITELY stay here again.

Highly recommend
We had 5 middle aged couples stay for the Louisville experience and it was wonderful. The property was terrific... the house is in a safe neighborhood and was very comfortable for 5 couples. it was walking distance to church, restaurants and a short drive to downtown. It was a perfect spot for us and we would definitely stay here again.

Sisters Weekend - Louisville Natives back in town
We had a great time returning to our old stomping grounds. The Bardstown Road area is great and a short walk down into the winding park roads of Cherokee and Seneca parks was delightful. The house is large and so comfortable. Every amenity is supplied and it feels like home. Would definitely stay again if we needed a house of this size.

Great house for a group!
We were a group of 4 couples in town to visit distilleries. This house was more than perfect for us. Very clean and we enjoyed having two living rooms and two kitchens. The location is also great, we were able to walk to dinner one night- highly recommend Noche Mexican BBQ. We would definitely stay here again if we return to the area!

Incredible Home!
We had the BEST time at the Bourbon Mansion! Kristen was so friendly and helpful throughout the process. The neighborhood is amazing and we still feel like there was so much more to explore. The home itself is so clean, very spacious and decorated beautifully! We will be coming back!!

Wonderful house for college friends weekend!
I hosted five college girlfriends and rented this house for the six of us. We are early 60's and have been friends for 40+ years. The house was perfect for our group! Great, inviting kitchen on the first floor for breakfast and for charcuterie. We each were able to have our own room and only two of us had to share a bathroom (third floor). Lots of space for hanging out and visiting, with a living room on the first floor and a sitting room on the second floor. One friend went for a morning run down Douglass Blvd. into nearby Cherokee Park and loved it. The house was centrally located for our explorations of Cherokee and Seneca Parks, Cherokee Triangle, Cave Hill Cemetery, Frankfort Ave., Highlands neighborhood, and dinner at Le Relais. Beds and linens were very comfortable, kitchen well-appointed, house exceptionally clean. Highly recommend for groups or families! Spacious and more affordable and convenient than a hotel.

Perfect for families or friends traveling together
This is a beautiful, spacious property, and well located. Four couples and one single person shared the home, and it was perfect for our needs. Love that 5 of the bedrooms have king beds, and everyone had their own private bath. Kitchens on both the first and second floors were well stocked with everything you would need to prepare meals. Kristen & Eric were very responsive when we had questions. Quiet neighborhood, and very close to a beautiful park. I would definitely rent the home again if I were traveling to Louisville.

Extended Family Vacation
Wonderful home! This home was perfect for our family of 12 adults. The owners have made sure everything you might need is included in the kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms. The living areas were just the right size for all of us to play games and visit. The patio was a great place to wind down at the end of the day. We would definitely stay in this home again.

Spacious, Comfortable, Close to Everything
We were blown away by this house! Three floors meant that we had plenty of space to spread out and feel at home. The living room downstairs and the den upstairs were perfect places to sit in the air conditioning during a Louisville heat wave. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook. We were walking distance from several great restaurants and a quick car ride away from the local grocery store. We were in easy striking distance of downtown Louisville, and it was simple for us to get on the road to Bardstown and the Bourbon Trail. The owners were gracious and quick to respond to questions we had during our stay. We highly recommend this house for your next stay in Louisville!

This home is gorgeous and fit our extended family great. Location is walking distance from a cute farmer's market on Saturdays, restaurants, bars, chic record stores, and CVS if you forget something. The home has soft linens and I was pleasantly surprised to find shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hand soap in every bathroom. We had an issue with some lights our first night and the owner was responsive and allowed us to remedy it ourselves with their guidance. Would definately stay here again and recommend these owners.

Great property and great owners/managers. Cannot say enough about the quality of the property and their communication with our group of 12. This house and owners will meet or exceed your expectations. It is important to know however that Louisville has an outdoor noise ordinance that begins at 10pm sharp!. This literally means everyone has to be inside at 10pm. Even normal talking on the back porch isn't permitted. The neighbor next door will come over and will file a complaint. As long as this isn't an issue for your group, I highly recommend this house.

Great house in a great location
Perfect place to stay to visit the Bourbon Trail! This house is awesome! We only used five of the six bedrooms but set up the rest of the house for fun! One living room we used for playing games and the other we used for just hanging out and watching tv. One kitchen we set up a bar, the other had all the food. Everyone was comfortable and enjoyed having their own bathroom. We got snow and ice on our first and second days there and the owners had people out quickly to make sure we were safe by salting the walkways and the driveway. We’d love to come back!

For a family of 13 (all ages) the Douglass house was perfect. Not only was the room arrangements perfect for families, but the house is gorgeous. The look and feel of the history made for a great week. It is close enough to walk to an area of old town to shop, get coffee or groceries. Perfect!!!

We had 9 adults and were looking for a place that each individual/couple could have their own bedroom as well as a walkable neighborhood. This place fit that bill and (bonus) allowed everyone their own bathroom (third floor bedrooms share but we didn’t use both bedrooms). The home truly was perfect for our adult family to spend the weekend together, with some distillery visits sprinkled in.

This was a great house in a great location. Plenty of room for 4 couples to spread out, have privacy when it was needed/wanted and great common spaces for hanging out. House is minutes from Kroger, a few restauraunts/bars and a short drive to downtown. An unexpected bonus was the local farmer's market that popped up at the end of the street on Saturday morning.

Bourbon Country Trip
Home was perfect for a group trip to bourbon country! The kitchen was fully stocked for us to have “family-style” meals. There was ample parking for two SUVs and two sedans in the back of the property. We really enjoyed the outdoor space which included seating for guests at both the front and rear of the home. The rocking chairs at the front of the home really “Rock!” Even with ten guests staying at the home, our friend managed to find a quite space to do some remote work.

Don’t hesitate to book this house. You’ll love it!
The house was amazing! It had everything we could have needed or wanted. It’s even better than the pictures. We had 5 couples all together. The king beds and separate bathrooms is why we booked the house. Greatly appreciated our privacy. The location was great. So close to the neighborhood restaurants. We walked to breakfasts and dinners. Didn’t have to worry about Ubering or driving. Owners were accommodating on earlier check-in. Fantastic house! Awesome experience!

Amazing Getaway
The house was amazing! Rustic and nestled in a beautiful neighborhood it was the ideal location close to many of the local sights and sounds that Louisville has to offer. The house itself was spacious and well decorated and all appliances were updated. It was a delightful blend of the old southern charm with modern amenities. This house is incredible. Large enough to fit me and ten guests comfortably. Beautiful finishes throughout and the multiple living spaces made it nice for a large group to spread out. Warm Louisville Welcome to Californians
When preparing for this first-time trip to Kentucky for our son's wedding to our beautiful new daughter-in-law, we must have looked at over 20 homes to rent for our pre-wedding stay. From the beginning, the photos of this home captured my heart and I have to let you know that the ACTUAL home is even better than the gorgeous photos on the VRBO website! What you can't see on the photos are the high ceilings on both the 1st and 2nd level that lends such an air of elegance and spaciousness. We held our breath as we toured each room...were we in an Architectural Digest magazine home?? It sure felt like it. This home has been furnished and designed just like the "reveal" of any HGTV home you can imagine. Every detail has been thought of, down to luggage racks and ironing boards and irons on each floor. The beds and linens were all so comfortable, and having 2 kitchens just made it a luxury for those with bedrooms on the second and third floors to have easy access to their chilled waters and drinks (we didn't cook much as there were too many amazing restaurants to visit!) As a home base for us to explore, we were able to enjoy restaurants on nearby "Restaurant Row" Bardstown Avenue and take a quick drive to NuLu and Downtown Lousiville. We did the Behind the Scenes tour at Churchill Downs (highly recommend) and of course who visits Louisville but doesn't do the Bourbon distillery tours and tastings? We discovered from chatting with locals that many distilleries will sell a limited amount of their specialty bourbons, a surprise every day that locals line up for before the retail store opens. At Buffalo Trace, we were able to score Eagle Rare and Wellers, and our friends went the next day and got some Blanton's (almost impossible to find at ANY liquor store in the country!) We had 3 other couples and their sons, as well as our son (the Groom) and daughter, and we had the BEST time visiting, working on wedding favors, and just spending quality time together before THE BIG DAY. Thank you, Kristen and Eric, for this absolutely gorgeous home. You were so prompt with all your communications and were a pleasure to plan this trip with. We will never forget this week!
