“We decided on a peaceful, far away, get away for our 28th wedding anniversary. We also needed accommodations for our dog. We found the "Mainely Cabin" and it was essentially perfect. This is a tranquil place directly on the bay. The beach is accessible by stairs. We are avid kayakers. I was planning to bring ours but discovered that I could use our hosts' kayaks. Perfect because the stairs leading to the beach are about a 20 second walk from the cabin's front door and the kayaks are stored……

“Beautiful cottage that had everything we needed. Very clean and only minutes from downtown. The only feedback I have is the use of the laundry detergent. Tide has a very strong scent that is not pleasing to many people. The use of a scent free detergent would create a neutral but clean appearance on the towels and bedding. ”

“Loved our room, very clean, bathroom was awesome and we slept like babies. Only negative was head board was hard and pillows not plump and big enough to sit up in bed comfortably. “This was a return visit for us. Lovely, spacious, well-appointed home in a very private, quiet location. It is a great home base for exploring the area - Cutler, Lubec, Campobello, Eastport, Cobscook Bay, Schoodic Point. Lots of hiking trails for all abilities with stunning scenery. Machias is convenient for restaurants and food shopping, gas stations, etc. The owner and the property manager are terrific & very helpful. Highly recommend!”
