We wanted to visit VT and decided to rent this beautiful little home on quiet Lake Pauline in Ludlow. We were not disappointed in any way. Serene location, clean, cozy, and welcoming home, excellent nearby restaurants and other attractions.A great 50th anniversary getaway!

Perfect girls weekend getaway.
Love this place! Such a cozy and charming cabin, perfect for a girls weekend away in the fall. The beds were super comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed, Ludlow is a lovely town, with plenty to do. Would come back again without hesitation!
My wife and I enjoyed our stay at this property. There was ample firewood for the stove. The dock in the pictures was no longer there, presumably due to flooding in the months prior to our stay.
I’d stay there again. It was a good value.

It is quaint...
The house is adorable and comfortable. It is on water, but directly across from a busy road. Paddling in the area is beautiful and there are many nearby places to put your boat in. We had a great time. However, the house wasn't cleaned thoroughly in the living room. Kitchen, bathrooms and bedrooms were fine.
The house is cute, clean, and convenient! This was perfect for our family of 4, 2 adults and 2 young children. The cottage is simple and rustic and made it easy for our Okemo ski trip, only a short drive to the Jackson Gore base.
I'd note that the ceilings in the upstairs bedrooms are on the shorter side but still plenty of room for kids our grown ups.
It's an easy distance to Okemo and downtown Ludlow so perfect for our stay.
House was very nice, clean and convenient to town. Unfortunately the oill burner was broken and there was no heat, which made it a bit uncomfortable the first night. Management brought over space heaters for the second night made things a bit better.

Great Location, has some issues
We rented this property to be close to skiing at Okemo. Here are things we wanted to share:Location: it's a 5 minute drive to Okemo - fantastic! The cottage is at the base of Lake Pauline, directly across from a busy road. The road noise was noticeable, and it was winter with windows closed. It was not a secluded cabin in the woods.Check in: the code did not work. When we contacted Vacasa, we were told that they could reset the door code remotely. The back door was not locked, so we got in while resolving the code issue. During our entire stay, the key code was never reset. The local property mgr told me that they could not reset the door code with clients in local the property. We were given 1 front door key.Property Cleanliness: The house was clean - it was broom swept and the fridge, stove and oven were clean. There was a dirty towel in the bathroom. Two of the beds had stained blankets on the made beds. There were cobwebs. Carpets were stained. The shower curtain was moldy. The shower fan was crusty Oddities - The ceiling height was barely 6'6". I am a 6'1" female, kids are 6'4". It was clausterphobic. The listing states wood stove as heat, but it does have a furnace as well. There is something musty or moldy that caused one of our party to have a severe asthmatic reaction. The house is TINY. Quaint but TINY. Finally, the back deck was not shoveled, and no shovel available. I would think you would want the emergency exit accessible should a need arise.

Relaxing!
Perfect getaway as usual. The fact that I’ve stayed here a dozen or so times should tell the story. Perfect!

Perfect For a Ski Weekend!
This home was perfect for our family ski weekend at Okemo. The mountain was only a few minutes away. The home is clean and cozy. We loved relaxing in the living room with the wood stove warming us up after a long day skiing.

Great location and support
We've stayed at this STR 3-times now, each time for 1 week. We obviously like it. The property is very well maintained. The kitchen is well stocked with most everything you may need, The bathroom is roomy with plenty of hot water. There's a great deck with a, what looked new, gas grill, table and 4 chairs. Inside there is a small kitchen table and a larger "dining" table. The living room is large with 3 couches, woodstove, large flat-screen TV with cable. There are only 2 of us, and we literally never go upstairs, where there are 2 additional bedrooms. The only drawbacks is the bedding and trash receptacle. The mattress is a bit worn, and it was a bit uncomfortable this time. The trash receptacle is a real problem. Two trash barrels are stored in a plastic bin. The first time we stayed here, we put trash out mid-week, and a bear literally ripped the bin apart in the middle of the night. The bin was completely ruined and trash was all over the place. They came to clean it up and replaced the bin with the same kind. In bear country, you need a bear-proof trash receptacle. They are expensive, but we are now required to keep trash inside the house for several days until we leave! If you stay for only a few days, it's not a problem, but when you stay for a week or more it becomes an issue.

Relaxing getaway
I've stayed at this location at least a dozen times. That says it all. A perfect relaxing getaway.
The place was as advertised and clean. There were a few things that could be improved. First, there were 3 towels total in the house. We were a party of 4. For a place that advertises sleeping 6, you would think they would have at least that many towels. We were told that some local staff would drop off extra, but they never did. Second, the beds were really uncomfortable. Nothing that you can’t handle for a few nights, but definitely not something you would want to sleep in for longer than that. Finally, the wood box was left empty. There was a small amount in the wood shed outside, but not much, and no kindling or newspapers to help get the fire going. Have a wood stove is a nice touch, would have been better if properly equipped to enjoy it.
This house is ideally located if headed to Okemo or the Ludlow area. The roads are well maintained in the winter. The house was as described and very clean. The lake in the back created a nice snowy backdrop. The house was as described with enough kitchen items to make almost anything. A warning to anyone really tall, this house will feel very small and may be difficult.
My negatives on the house would be, please check all of the chairs and tables to make sure they are safe to sit on. Many needed bolts tightened. It would be great to make a mat or boot scraper by the front door.
Overall. We enjoyed our stay at the house and would stay again.
Perfect size and location for our family of three. So close to Okemo and downtown Ludlow. The cottage had everything we needed for our ski week. I rated communication with the property manager, but we honestly never had to reach out for anything. We would definitely return again next season!
This rental was cozy, comfy, and well stocked. It's a great location to town and the mountain. I would not recommend to a family or group where the open stairs to the open sleeping loft might be a problem.
I would suggest an outdoor mat on the porch at the front door outside. The lighting throughout could use updates. Also some sort of TV guide for channels if possible. All in all a comfortable stay.
