The Space:

Cold mountain air drifts through the trees as evening settles, and steam rises from the hot tub while the sky darkens above the Shenandoah Valley. Inside, the glow from the wood stove reflects off tall windows, creating a warm, inviting space to unwind after a day outdoors. Mornings are quiet and bright, with coffee in hand and views that remind you how far you are from the rush of everyday life. The two‑story great room gathers everyone under one roof, framed by large windows that showcase the surrounding landscape.



Sleeping Arrangements

The chalet sleeps up to six guests across three bedrooms. Bedroom 1 features a king bed. Bedroom 2 offers a full bed, set apart for a quiet, private sleeping space despite having no door. Bedroom 3 includes a full bed. Two bathrooms serve the home, one equipped with a bathtub, and bathroom essentials are provided.



Kitchen & Dining

A fully stocked kitchen invites you to prepare anything from simple breakfasts to family dinners, with ample prep space and a dining table nearby for relaxed meals. Coffee is ready for your mornings, and the kitchen works just as well for shared gatherings as for a quiet night in.



Outdoor Living

Step onto the deck to feel the crisp air while the propane grill waits for a hearty meal. The hot tub beckons on colder evenings, offering a soothing soak under the open sky. A fire pit provides a spot for evening conversations and roasting s’mores, and the backyard gives room to spread out and enjoy the fresh mountain breeze.

Children’s books, toys, games, and a high chair make traveling with little ones easy, while a washer and dryer support longer stays. A dedicated workspace and reliable Wi‑Fi support remote work when needed.



Pet Policy:

We love hosting families and well-behaved dogs! For allergy and maintenance reasons, we’re unfortunately unable to host cats.

The chalet sits about 15 minutes from downtown Luray and the famous Luray Caverns, with easy access to local breweries, restaurants, and shops. Shenandoah National Park and Skyline Drive are roughly a 30‑minute drive, offering hiking, scenic overlooks, and year‑round outdoor exploration. Wineries and charming small‑town stops are also close by, making the chalet a convenient base for discovering the area.



Water & Practical Notes

Tap water in the region often has a yellow‑light brown appearance because of natural iron and manganese; it is safe to drink, though a slight sulfur smell may be present. We recommend bringing bottled water for peace of mind. Leaves, pollen, and other natural debris may appear on the deck and walkways despite regular cleaning, especially during certain seasons.
