Nice old building but in need of repairs and updates, room wasn’t particularly clean, old windows with condensation and not be cleaned for a while ! Good breakfast, location not bad but a killer of a hill to get back up at night, was ok as a base but if looking for a special occasion I’d look elsewhere

This is a good value option in Lyme Regis. The building is old but quite well maintained. The ensuite was very good and quite large. The bed was comfortable. The gentleman at book in was very good and very helpful with dining options in the town. All round I would certainly stay here again.

Welcomed on arrival and provided with a useful map of Lyme Regis and tips for eating out. Accommodation was clean throughout and staff friendly. Breakfast was perfect with variety of fruit juice, cereals and yoghurts. English breakfast was very tasty with quality bacon and sausage. Parking located at the rear of the hotel. If returning to the area I wouldn't hesitate to stay again at this hotel.

Our stay was great, the Host and staff are fantastic, Breakfast was excellent and ample parking. Our only grumble was our room (no1) could do with an update, the carpet was worn in places, the main window rattled all the time because of very close passing traffic and when windy, and we couldn't open them for fresh air, there is also no USB charging points in the room. However overall this is a great place for a short break. Expect a steep walk back up from the port/beach. Our thanks to Alex and his staff for their hospitality.

Initially booked for 4 nights. This Inn is desperately in need of upgrading, deep cleaning and renovation. First night was in room 3 (which we were told by manager Alex is “the worst room). Spider web with daddy longlegs in it greeted us. Room was damp, musty smelling and bedding was clammy and wet. We were moved to room 9 for next 2 nights. This room was dusty, carpet dirty, furniture in need of repair bedskirt and curtains torn, grease on wall behind bed. Breakfast was poor. Dining room dirty. Little fruit and not fresh. Pastries were listed on menu but we were told they only supply them mid-summer? We did not stay 4th night and Alex was kind enough to give us a partial refund. He told us they are trying their best.

Charming hotel

Very comfortable old fashioned hotel, our room was a trifle on the small side but had a lovely view of the sea. Delicious full English breakfast served by friendly staff.
