We were so pleased to have picked this hotel for our stay in Lyon. We loved the location, we loved the hotel style and the staff were great. I would definitely recommend this establishment but more importantly, I would re book in a heartbeat.

We actually stayed a totally of eight nights at this amazing spot, rebooking an extra weekend after the first 5 nights. Everything was top notch, the staff, housekeeping, restaurant, front desk, petit déjeuner, the room itself. So many little details made it one of my favorite hotels ever. Well done, Hotel Globe et Cecil!

The service and kindness of the staff was exceptional. The sink in my room was not working when I arrived and though it was well after 8pm, a technician came and fixed it right away. The location was also very convenient, close to shops and Vieux Lyon for a little exploration. I recommend this hotel and will definitely return. Merci au personnel pour sa patience avec mon français!

Hotel in a great location for the old town attractions. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. On the downside, the shower was too compact and no door to retain the water from splashing on the floor. The breakfast offering appear to be limited, if you did not want the continental.

Staff lacked customer service expected with this level of hotel. Rooms were small and in need of repairs. The skeleton keys are original and very challenging to open. Although the location is excellent, we are not likely to recommend.

The hotel couldn't be more centrally located. The hotel is old in a stately way, yet modernized, clean and convenient. The staff are extremely professional, but there is no porter. The breakfast, while expensive, is exceptional, almost exquisite. The hotel is quiet and cool. The elevator is very small, and, there is no ice or microwave. Sparkling water is free!
