「We did not receive check-in instructions as of the day before our stay, so I messaged the host on yhe VRBO app.. no response. So at midnight I contacted customer service, and they contacted the host. Suddenly I received an email stating that our stay for the following day was canceled due to the property being sold. Yep, our reservation for a holiday weekend was accepted well in advance and then canceled 15 hours before check-in on a holiday weekend. TERRIBLE HOST!」

The only thing that I would suggest is asking that if you're visiting in colder months you request the heat be turned on prior to check in. It was freezing and took a few hours to heat up. Everything we needed to make morning coffee, and the kitchen was equipped for us to make meals. We were able to enjoy time with family and friends while we were in town for my retirement. 「My sister passed from alzheimers several years ago. Two of her four grandchildren recently graduated from local high schools and we wanted to be there to represent her side of the family. We looked for a place to stay near both high schools while providing a relaxing environment for us. We found the perfect place and plan to return for another graduation next year!
