“Nice village hotel and our check in and room were good on the face of it. Other than the guy who checked us in, staff was generally rude. We had booked for breakfast at 08:00 on the first morning, and having travelled the previous day from Asia ended up waking earlier and found ourselves waiting in the breakfast room around 7:10, hoping to be able to request breakfast at 7:30 when it opened. “It is a travesty to call the Wiltshire hotel a spa. We had had a long day travelling and were looking forward to a really nice spa experience. We were given a locker key and a sad towel, no robe. The ladies changing rooms were a disgrace. Broken tiles, grubby floor and a section had been roped off. The pool area was dirty with broken tiles, and mould on the floor tiles. The jacuzzi wasn’t working, neither was the steam room. The hot sauna was good but the pool temperature was on the low side. ……
