Dirty and Run Down
I wasn’t going to leave a review, but the property owner stopped responding to messages so I felt I couldn’t let another family waste a large amount of money on a weekend trip like we just did. It was obvious when we arrived no one had been in the property in a very long time. There were spider nests everywhere, and spiders and lizards crawling all under the beds. There were empty beer cans and used band-aids on the floor. When I complained the owner sent a woman to come by to clean and she only brought a broom to sweep things out. This property needed a deep cleaning. Also, the pictures posted are very misleading. I’m guessing in the months the property hasn’t been used that no one was maintaining it. Floorboards we’re broker, shower nozzles fell off when we tried to shower, the microwave was broken, toilet paper holders were barely hanging on the wall, and any time we washed a load of dishes there was a leak under the sink that ran out onto the floor. We travel a lot and know the kind of property we should be staying in at this price point per night, and this was far from it. Don’t waste your money until they can bring the property back to what it was in earlier reviews.

Great family vacation
Our family had a wonderful time at the Lakehouse- enjoyed our reunion, it was nice to rent your 2 houses so we could all be close to eachother. We loved having space for everyone with their own rooms and bathrooms. The bunkhouse was a great space for kids. We will be back next summer!

I’m glad y’all had a great lake weekend and we’re able to use the kayaks, paddleboards and lily pad float. The water level is lower than normal at the seawall and dock but I’m happy we have such calm water in front of our house to still enjoy the lake. Thanks for your stay!

Annual Family Lake Trip
Wonderful! This house works so great for our annual family lake getaway! Perfect bedroom/bath arrangements for the three couples and four kids (great bunk room for them!) in our family, cooking and eating in and outdoors, yard and water toys for everyone. Wonderful big table that seats us all with the most amazing view of the lake. We love this house, the amenities and the location. Just the right area of lake in front to get all kids skiing and tubing right in front of the dock. The host is so responsive to any need too. We’ll be back AGAIN!

Great large extended family getaway
We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home offered everything from a fishing dock to foam water floats and kayaks. Great home for with extra sleeping cots in case you have lots of kids. We had 16 people during our stay. We plan to return!

Sweet lakehouse
This was for my daughters 13th birthday. 9 of her friends and four dads. Second time staying here. Karen is a fantastic host. Extremely responsive and thoughtful 24/7. The house was remodeled since we stayed there in ‘19 and they did a great job. Layout of the house is perfect for multiple families or a gaggle of kids like I had.

Fantastic Lake trip!
Our family and friends had the best time! Long days in the water kayaking, floating on lily pad and learning to paddleboard. We appreciate that you had all the water equipment for us to use! We enjoyed eating dinner watching the sunset- fantastic house, views, comfy beds, room for all of us.

Great lake house for groups
We had a group of 11 adults and 2 kids and had a great time celebrating a family birthday. Everyone enjoyed kayaking, paddle boarding and playing on the huge water mats. The extra bathrooms with showers came in handy for our large group, and the 2-table dining area had plenty of room for meals and board games. We found all the cooking utensils, pots, and pans we needed in the kitchen. Everyone enjoyed our stay! Karen was helpful and attentive.

Great Girl's Retreat!
AMAZING! We loved our stay at this adorable lake house. Beautiful views, plenty of room, great dining area for meals and games, as well as a stocked kitchen. The house was very clean and organized. Mornings and evenings out on the patio overlooking the lake were quiet and relaxing while having coffee, cocktails or s’mores over the fire pit. Karen was so helpful and responded very quickly to inquiries. She provided us with restaurants in the area which were terrific. The location was excellent for our group because it was close to Canton! We enjoyed an easy drive thru the countryside and some great shopping. We will definitely return in the future for some boating time and fishing. We loved our time at the lake house!

Went here for my brothers bachelor party weekend. Great location, easily accessible, house was clean and very spacious for 10 men. We got good use out of the dock and all the lake toys. I would highly recommend this place!

Perfect big family getaway
We already want to go back!! It’s a fabulous place for big groups, room for everyone yet plenty of privacy too. The homeowner was more than accommodating & helpful every step of the way. Someone has spent a lot of time & money on completely remodeling this gem! Furnishings & decor absolutely gorgeous, water activities like 2 kayaks / water mats available, kids loved the ping pong tables, guys enjoyed corn hole, back porch over looking lake was amazing with plenty of couches, lounge chairs, table & grill. Windows throughout the home were spectacular. Kitchen & plenty of bathrooms were very well stocked. You sure won’t regret your stay at this lovely oasis.

An Amazing Get Away
We came to the lake for a long weekend to celebrate my son’s birthday. The house is lovely. It is very spacious, clean and equipped with everything a family needs. We rented the boat and spent every afternoon on the water! The sunsets are beautiful. Karen is a great host. She responded timely and was accommodating and helpful. Great memories were made for my family this weekend.

Beautiful house and backyard!
We rented this home for the July 4th weekend and it was perfect for our group of 8 adults. The backyard is gorgeous and with so many trees it was nice to have the shade in July. The lake toys were perfect to use to enjoy the water. The house was nicely remodeled/updated recently and the beds were super comfy. Overall a great place to rent for the weekend and conveniently located on the lake.

It was our first time to Cedar Lake. The house was nicely remodeled and the large backyard on the lake was a great hit with my herd of boys! Beautiful sunsets every night. The option to rent the boat is a huge plus.

Perfect Lake Getaway!
Two families enjoyed three wonderful nights in this cute lakehouse! Everything about it was relaxing and fun. The owner Karen went above and beyond to answer all our questions and have everything ready when we arrived. The house itself is 100% renovated and newly decorated; it looked like a model home. The linens were comfy and plentiful and the AC was great in every room. The back porch had a large sectional sofa, a gas grill and a great view of the lake. The sunset was gorgeous! The yard is covered in huge pine trees providing tons of shade and the Adirondack chairs were perfect around the fire pit. We rented the boat, which was so convenient, and the kids had a ball tubing. When not out on the boat everyone enjoyed the lily pad and kayaks. I couldn't make one suggestion for improvement; it really was perfect!

Family Vacation
We had our immediate family of 15. The back yard , shaded lawn , good dock , many lake floats , right on the water experience was great. The house was very clean and well equipped. One bathroom opened into the kitchen and another into the living room which we found awkward with our group of 15. The king size rooms shared a “ jack and jill “ bathroom which was awkward. After I got past the bathroom placement I was very happy. Kathy was quick to respond and nice. Home was close to bridge which was good for fishing from our kayak.

Great Getaway
We loved our stay. While we went on a girls weekend, we all agreed this is a wonderful place to bring a family as well. The house had plenty of sleeping options, as well as a beautiful view and access to the lake. The back porch is a great place to hang out, enjoy the view, and catch up with family or friends. For families there are plenty of games, water toys, as well as TV's with cable and DVD player. The kitchen was well equipped and had easy access with a counter bar for convienent serving. We are already planning our next visit!

Clean house with great access to the Lake
We had a fun family Spring Break at the Lake house! When we arrived we noticed the basketball goal was broken. I text Karen and within a few hours she had it fixed. Which was great since we had 4 boys that played a lot. The shed had lots of water toys and life jackets for all. Our kids had so much fun playing ping pong and roasting marshmallows by the fire. We are already planning the next visit. The house was clean and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Thank you!

Was a good set up for 2 families & grandparents
Not fancy, but clean & functional (We liked the open great room between kitchen / LR & FR - Kids bunk-room was a hit (7 grandkids from 3 yo to 10 yo). Seems like IKEA style. The owner will fix a few minor issues this coming weekend. She is responsive to any questions. Highlights were the dock to fish (caught 3 large catfish), fire pit (brought presto logs & fire sparkles & 50 neon light necklaces for in the dark & sticks for S'mores, ping pong in the LR (I brought glow-in-the -dark balls from Amazon) & 1/2 basketball court out front. We also took our annual family picture of the 13 of us. Great lighting on Thanksgiving @ 4 pm out in back by Cedar Creek Lake. We missed having a kitchen pantry, but we kept our supplies for 4 days in tax boxes w/ lids - marked along the long wall in the LR. Assuming fireplace inside is non-functioning. Since we were 13, I brought a card long narrow table and they have a square one w/ 4 extra chairs too. Each family brought many yard games too & some on-site. One side trip was to Cedar Creek Brewery in Seven Points - very casual, but kid friendly. Thanks for sharing your lake house.

Thanks Ann! I’m glad you all enjoyed yourselves at the lake. We love all the things you mentioned and try to have as much fun stuff at the house as possible-games, basketball, ping pong table, kayak, tubes, fire pit make for a fun getaway. Our dishes, silverware are all Ikea for easy replacement when items break. Our furniture & linens Weirs and Nebraska Furniture Mart since they deliver to the lake.
