"A very good breakfast. We also enjoyed the two mini meals for £22 offer, these are the same meals as the main menu but smaller portions. We had the sausage, mash and gravy, very tastey. The staff were friendly and helpful. "

"The room was front facing with a lovely view 👍.. We really enjoyed a little break at the hotel , it has plenty of downstairs sitting space & the grounds outside was huge .. Special thanks to " Simon " who was working on reception & in the bar , for the friendly , and professional service.. Also to the lovely lady from housekeeping, who knocked on the door on second morning to see if we needed anything at all. It was much appreciated.. As a grand old house, there are obviously renovations the hotel said they'll get to whenever they can , but this didn't detract from our little stay , at all.. We would definitely stay there again 👍 "

"If the room was checked to see if everything was working like the toilet was check it would not flush on arrival then we found that the tv didn’t work but when you told staff it was all fixed that day "

"Stayed at the lodge and surprisingly roomy. Bright and well laid out accommodation. Good en suite and great views from the windows. All round, very comfortable and would definitely stay here again."

"DONT JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER and here is your proof when I pulled in to the car park I thought what have I booked? But what I a lovely surprise bean I went inside clean friendly staff with great clean spacious rooms with equipped with tea, coffee biscuits, towels in the bathroom with shampoo soap and breakfast was very good and plenty of it and served from 06:30 so time to eat it and get to work so 5 stars all round"
