“This was a return visit for us. Lovely, spacious, well-appointed home in a very private, quiet location. It is a great home base for exploring the area - Cutler, Lubec, Campobello, Eastport, Cobscook Bay, Schoodic Point. Lots of hiking trails for all abilities with stunning scenery. Machias is convenient for restaurants and food shopping, gas stations, etc. The owner and the property manager are terrific & very helpful. Highly recommend!”

“It’s name says it all. A perfectly sized, literal “bed room” in the middle of the woods. The fire pit had wood all ready for me to use. If you were to come in the winter, the tiny home has a wood stove to use as well.”

“We had a truly wonderful week in Jonesport. We cooked a lot of meals and the kitchen is great for that, top notch equipment, as nice as our home kitchen plus some spices and sugar and so forth for convenience. The views are spectacular from anywhere in the house and we loved the shack that's on the rocks over the water. Great for hanging out and reading or having a morning cup of coffee.The neighborhood is quiet and restful, but plenty to do. We went kayaking twice and hiking twice.I highly……

“This was a great home and location for our first visit to Maine. Easy drive to Lubec, Calais, Eastport, Machiasport and many other locations. As wonderful as the photos and description may be, it is actually better! Lots of attention to the small things that make traveling easier. And as many others have said, sitting on the porch was very relaxing. Communication with Lucas was easy and prompt and without a doubt I would stay here again and highly recommend.”

Highly recommended if you want simple, rustic lodging with comfortable accommodations (nice bed, everything needed for a compact kitchen to prepare meals, and nice picnic table for eating outdoors). ”

“We loved this house and the location! We've stayed in a nearby house for many vacations through the years but needed something bigger, and this house was perfect for us. It's quirky and filled with art, and beautiful ocean views.The upstairs layout is a little funky (one bedroom is only accessible via adjoining rooms, and one large bedroom has the back staircase in it) but it was totally fine for us. Our kids loved the visiting chickens and walking to the beach each morning.”

“My wife and I felt very lucky to have found The Miners Den which is a very new creation of a great proprietor who really cares about your experience.The hand built cabin is gently fitted to the landscape of balsam firs and hardwoods with a light touch.It reminded me of the few small cabins in the White Mountains you find along the trails.Everything you need less food is provided.For a couple in their sixties with a friendly dog we will be excited to get back there and see what’s happening.Oh……

“A wonderful cape style home with every amenity you can think of. Each bedroom had its own a/c, comfortable bed & room darkening drapes. The living area is comfortable & cozy - more than enough room for the 4 of us. Immaculately clean. Owner extremely easy to communicate with. Only 90 min to Bar Harbor. We will be back!”
