Lovely getaway

Excellent getaway on the Sunshine Coast!

I enjoyed a weeklong visit at Michelle’s property. The view of Mount Daniel from the hot tub - were beautiful. The Hot tub was super clean. The Suite was spotless, quiet and very comfortable. I also treated myself to a massage which was fantastic. Michelle was very responsive to any questions I had. Highly recommend!

The most relaxing vacation

We had the best time at this beautiful place! The suite is huge and has everything you need. Michelle is so sweet and always quick to respond to any questions. We had a massage with Michelle at her home spa and it was heaven. The hot tub is huge and was the perfect way to end each night. Baker Beach which is a ten minute drive was our favourite beach spot, beautiful little cove great for swimming. Thanks again for an amazing stay!

The most relaxing & enjoyable stay!

From our own personal masseuse, to our own personal hot tub, this place is a gem! It's clean, comfortable and our family can't wait to come back next year. The location is perfect with several lakes close by, as well as Sechelt, Pender Harbour and the beautiful Davis Bay. Thanks to Michelle and her lovely family for a week that us and our boys won't soon forget, it was needed!

Spectacular weekend getaway

Quiet clean and comfortable with alot of privacy, getting a relaxing facial and the hot tub afterwards was so soothing and relaxing.loved being avle to bbq as well, i would come back again for sure ! Thank you for everything ❤️

Coast getaway

We are a retired couple who wanted to get away and experience the beauty of the coast. The Freedom Lodge accommodations were very comfortable and there is a hot tub to be enjoyed! It was very quiet at night affording a great sleep. We did miss having a sunny place on the deck or in the yard to relax. The kitchen is well equipped but some cookware does need replacing. Michelle and Joel are very accommodating and friendly. They responded quickly to any requests that we had. You do need to drive to get to grocery stores or restaurants. We did not find an easy access to the water when going for a walk. Overall we would recommend this accommodation to those who want to experience the activities the Sunshine Coast has to offer. You will come back to comfortable accommodations and be able to relax to enjoy another day!

Michelle is a great host, who puts in a lot of thought into having her place with all that you need. She even runs a spa and gives the best Swedish massage in the world. We had a great time using the hot tub over looking some picturesque views. It was a relaxing and fun trip. Thank you Michelle

We had a great time!

Michelle's place was great! It's located in a beautiful neighbourhood close to a marina. The suite is spacious and had everything we needed. And of course the hot tub on the balcony was fantastic! We would definitely stay there again.

Perfect getaway for a couple

The place is close to all amenities and touristy places on the Sunshine Coast. Very clean and well kept. The patio and hot tub can be used year round. Total privacy, piece and quiet.

Great stay

My wife and I had a great stay. Michelle was great book a couple spa treatments with her and the wife said best she has had. Place was clean and well stocked. Will definitely be back and will recommend both place and spa.

Relaxing getaway from the city

Everything as described. The area is quiet (the house too); the kitchen is well stocked with all necessary utensils; plenty of towels and bathrobes; visited in winter, the unit is warm. If visiting in winter, make sure to have good snow tires and 4WD, the city doesn't clean up the roads. We got snow during the stay, the host promptly cleared the driveway. There's the right balance of care and privacy, from the hosts.

Even more beautiful than the pictures.

This place was lovely we really enjoyed our stay it had a boutique spa feel and it was super cozy we had everything we needed and when we had a question it was answered promy the hot tub was amazing 10/10 will be back.

Fabulous!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay here. Everything was spotless, modern and the hot tub was fabulous! Every little detail was covered. We cooked our own meals and the kitchen was fully stocked with anything we needed. The view was amazing and the place easy to find. Communication with the owner was super easy. There were 3 of us and we all had lots of room and slept comfortably. Overall, a fantastic stay. I highly recommend this place!

This is a beautiful, very clean unit!

This unit is more spacious than the photos made it appear, and it fit our family (including 2 teenage boys) very well. I loved how well the unit was stocked down to Kleenex and ice, and the owner supplied space heaters as the heat pump for the home was down. The unit was toasty warm! The hot tub was fantastic on these cool fall days, and the 4 robes and slippers supplied were a lovely touch!!! To quote my 14 year old son “This place is so nice!” Many thanks to our wonderful hosts Michelle and Joel!

Clean and awesome hot tub!!

We had a great time!! Nice harbour view while either having a BBQ or relaxing in the wonderful hot tub on the deck. Lots of windows to enjoy the scenery. The bed is very comfortable and the bedding very clean and crisp with nice pillows. The suite has alot of room to move around in and the full size kitchen was a treat to cook in. The bonus was the dishwasher! If you plan on doing the walk to Skookumchuck Narrows, don't do like we did and miss the timing of the event. Go online and see when the best viewing times are. The walk is about 5kms each way and takes an hour each way. The evening hot tub was all we needed to end each day. The hosts were very accommodating and replied to my emails in a few minutes. If we come back to the Sunshine Coast, here is where we will be staying!!

Getaway

Great location, hot tub and room setup

Bed configuration was perfect for me and my two kids (Murphy bed much more comfy than the typical pull-out couch). Nice spacious kitchen with all amenities you need to cook, dining area inside and outside. Highlight of course was the hot tub! Every day we discovered a new small lake in the area and then would come home to enjoy the tub. Great everything, says my son!!

Relaxing Apartment

We had a great time in this one bedroom apartment. It had everything we needed, was very clean, and the hot tub on the deck was a great way to relax at the end of the day. The only thing we ran into that was an issue for us (travelling with an 11 month old) was that the bed was rather noisy even just to sit on so we couldn’t sleep in it as the baby had to sleep in our room and we were worried any movement would wake him. We slept on the Murphy bed in the living room which was comfy and fine for our needs. The lucky baby got the master bed to himself! We really enjoyed our stay and if we’re back in the area we’d definitely stay here again! Michelle was extremely friendly and helpful.

Great spot in a clean large suite

beautiful suite & lovely host

we stayed two nights, and really enjoyed our stay. the suite is clean, well stocked, and open concept - the photos do not do it justice. we spent a lot of time in the hot tub, looking at the beautiful view of the water, trees, and mountains. we could hear some running water and foot step noises from upstairs, but it was minimal and didnt bother us. we got to meet a few of the chickens, but didnt hear them at all otherwise. michelle was kind enough to give us some of their delicious fresh eggs! we highly recommend staying here.

Nice Property

Owners were very nice and accommodating! Would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a nice getaway. There are chickens on the property which adds to the charm but they do wake up early.

Nice and questionable

Michelle was on top of any requests, however, for the most part it felt as if we were in a basement suit. We could hear all foot falls above us, toilets flushing, chairs being pulled out. The toilet in the suit when flushed made an incredible amount of noise, an almost high pitched squealing. There’s a peekaboo view of the water but a beautiful view of their junk/recycling pile on the left side of the property which was a deterring eyesore. The in house massage feature was delightful, the robes were cushy and she was very knowledgeable with the deeper tissues of the muscles.

Awesome Place for Get Away

We really liked this place. It was great that Michelle showed us the place herself and showed that she is available if help is needed. Kitchen was all set and complete for cooking. We really enjoyed the hot tub. It worked perfectly. The neighborhood is so quiet and you don't see anything that disturbs your stay there. Michelle provides professional message and spa services. Our schedule did not allow us to book one, but we look forward to use this service in the future. We will defenitely come back to this place.

Highly Recommend this beauty!

To start, there is no disappointment from the advertising and pictures on the site. In fact, it didn't quite do it justice. Mainly as the space was much bigger than expected. The bedroom was large and plenty of closet space. The bed AND pillows were the most comfortable I've experienced in a short term rental. The kitchen has plenty of room, with very modern appliances, and includes every possible tool you'll need. Bonus points in that they stock spices. Have never seen this, but sooo appreciated when cooking there. Another bonus was that although a lot of places have additional bedding options for larger groups, they usually lack in comfortable seating for the same number. Not the case for this place. The hot tub was one of the biggest reasons we initially selected this unit, but was surprised at not only the size of it (Seating for 5) but the strongest jets I've experienced. The location is great in that its on a dead end street so little traffic, and a five minute walk to the marina. There is a pub/hotel also located within this same walking distance, and for any shopping, or other restaurants, its only about a 5 minute drive away. The hosts are very nice, and although on site, you'd never know until you needed them. Highly recommend this unit either for a couple, or a family, as you won't be disappointed.

Sisters get away

Michelle is a wonderful host and the spa services she offers are top notch. The location is central to the Sun Shine Coast, everything is close by. The space is very clean and comfortable, we especially enjoyed the hot tub every night after hiking and exploring the area. Nothing is easy with the pandemic but our stay was perfect. Thank you and hope to stay again soon.
