Staff was great and friendly. Hotel is in a very touristy area. Loud street so we couldn’t have the window open to enjoy the weather at night. Room was small but clean.

Lovely hotel. Room was small but very modern and comfortable. The hotel is right in the middle of everything with easy access to public transportation. And despite being on a very busy street, the room was very quiet. Also, the breakfast we had included with the room was one of the best ones I’ve ever seen. Would absolutely recommend.

Great location, clean & comfy

We had a lovely short stay at Ikonik Gran Via hotel. They have super comfy beds & pillows, heating/air conditioning works really well, cleanliness was top notch and the rooms are recently renovated. Location is perfect, in general great value for money. Maybe something which can be improved is that the windows in the toilet are not well made, so it is very cold in there during winter (unless you keep the doors open)

I feel it is more like 3-star standard rather than 4-star. Check-in lobby was small and cramp, but I must say the friendly and cheerful staffs make the day. Room was basic, clean and tidy, but it is small with limited moving space. Location is good, but just have to make up with the noise from the busy street. Cool vintage elevator within the hotel.

The hotel has an excellent location, very central and close to most historical sites. I would have liked it to offer amenities, as it currently lacks any. I think they should consider creating some. The staff truly cares about making you feel comfortable and goes out of their way to find all available options to achieve that. I really appreciated the cleanliness, but for those of us who don’t like cigarette smoke, its presence is unavoidable due to the proximity of the windows to the street.

Location and staff were very good. I did not like the shower as the shower pan is level with no loop as a result the slick floor gets flooded and the footing is treacherous I am a designer and these things drive me nuts. Bad design

Hotel Ikonik is very well situated. Very central, access to buses and taxis right outside, and metro about 50m away. All the big shops and many restaurants and bars etc along the Gran Via and adjacent streets. There's a free bus 001 which takes you to Atocha station, and Museo del Prado along the way. The staff at reception and in the breakfast room are very helpful. There's a kettle with paper cups, tea, coffee etc in the room. We were able to borrow an iron and ironing board. Excellent air conditioning and great Queen bed, shower easy to manage, very clean, modern bathroom and bedroom. Has a safe in the wardrobe, plenty of coathsngers and a mini bar. You can get cups of water and cups of tea or coffee and apples for free at reception. Tv channels are mostly Spanish, but can get France 24 in Englush if you're interested in news. Breakfast is good with a wide choice, including scrambled eggs, bacon, baked courgette and chistorra, or bread rolls, toast, cereals, yogurts, cheeses, ham etc, fruit, cakes, croissants, juices, tea, coffee, water and more. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The Ikonik Gran Via is a great location and has a cool vibe and decor. Nice blue and white, marble, and stained glass. It is very convenient to multiple Metro lines and buses. The front desk was very nice as well. It had a secure entry. My room (solo female traveler) was good for my needs. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was nice and water was hot. My sink was a bit slow to drain. My major issue was the noise coming in from the hotel itself. My room was away from the street looking out to another building’s windows so it was not noisy from the traffic. However there were no privacy shades other than the blackout curtain so I didn’t feel comfortable opening the curtains because you could see directly into the bed. More importantly, everyday the cleaners would shove all the furniture across the tiled floor when they were cleaning the rooms and making the beds. This would make VERY loud and startling sounds from mid morning late into the afternoon. It was awful. I tried sleeping in or taking a nap and they were shoving so much furniture I couldn’t rest at all. The sound also travels A LOT from the hallways and other floors. I really wish this weren't the case because otherwise I liked the hotel. But I wouldn’t stay there again due to the noise. It was so disruptive and I couldn’t rest very much during my vacation stay (and with jet lag!).

This was my second visit and I highly recommend it. The women who work at the front desk are very friendly and helpful, showing you points of interest on the map. The room was clean, and with the windows closed, you couldn't hear any outside noise. The breakfast was good, varied, and fresh, and the staff was attentive to your needs. The location is super convenient.
