Had a lovely stay at the hotel. The room i was in, perhaps in need of new wallpaper. But the room very clean and comfortable bed and the staff were all very friendly and a big shout out to Emilia she was so helpful and friendly. Had a very enjoyable stay.

The Thames Riviera Hotel is an older building with English Heritage listing which precludes the addition of more modern equipment such as a lift. This should be borne in mind if physically challenged by stairs, and there are quite a few to negotiate on to get to the upper floors. The building retains its period quirkiness such as upper floors that are not quite on the level, a feature of many older properties. Outside on the terrace is a great place to relax with a cocktail, beer or favourite beverage whilst watching the activities of the Maidenhead Rowing Club on the river. The service we received was excellent throughout our stay. Evening food was very good though not outstanding, but very reasonably priced. For those wishing to experience finer dining there are several alternatives close including Alain Roux's riverside brasserie just across the bridge. If looking to experience a break from the corporate one-size-fits-all hostelry offerings, the Best Western Thames Riviera is certainly worth considering.

The hotel is in a perfect location, unfortunately the building is in need of renovation, the rooms in the annex are ok but need proper cleaning. Food in restaurant was disappointing and not value for money. We will return for another overnight stay but room only.

We had the larger corner window room on the first floor, with canal views. Bef was small for a "King" -- international queen size in reality. Breakfast was good, though not as good as many of our other UK stays. Parking was easy, and the walk along the canal was nice. Dinner at the hotel wss good. Room could be noisy in warmer weather, as the terrace and patio of the restaurant are directly outside of the room. But weather was cold enough that nobody was outside during our stay, so quiet overnight.
